Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (online review: 4.9)

BLOODY BRILLIANT…. trust me once you finish watching this movie that’s the expression you get. APPLAUSE to the CREATIVITY… the CGI was excellent particularly the chase between the cap and the vengeful soul. There might be great movies in Korean industries but this is THE BEST movie by far.

Kim Ja Hong is a fearless firefighter who dies at the scene of an emergency. At the moment of his death, he finds himself traveling outside his body, witnessing his coworkers trying to resuscitate him as his life ebbs away. He realizes he is now in the afterlife, and he is greeted by three godly guardians, namely Hae Won Maek, Lee Deok Choon, and Gang Rim. The trio believes him to be a rare paragon of virtue, a man who has lived a truly virtuous life. If they are proved correct, they will succeed in having him reincarnated, and will also stand a chance of returning to the mortal realm themselves.

Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days (online review: 4.8)

Unbelievable Just when you thought the original cant be beat the sequel beats it and then some. Unbelievable compelling character flashbacks, fantastic storyline, just made me cry like hell in the 3rd act just as they did in the first movie! How do you hit the Jackpot twice??!!

Su Hong was a budding legal student who was killed while on duty while doing his military service. He then returned as a vengeful spirit to punish those who wronged him and his family. But he has now been taken into the afterlife, where he must pass a series of trials – assisted by the otherworldly guardians Hae Won Maek, Lee Deok Choon, and Gang Rim – if he is to gain reincarnation. The guardians, too, have much to gain from this: If Su Hong is reincarnated, they too will be allowed to return to the mortal sphere.

The Man from Nowhere (online review: 4.9)

This movie threatens to be a run-of-the-mill action movie, but manages to create its own identity. The sameness is how it shows most of its bad guys, and there are plenty, as one dimensionally evil. There are children who are put in harm’s way, but not gratuitously–for the most part–providing the hero with a chance to be human. It’s very Korean in its thinking, which is always refreshing to me. Saying that, I was surprised by how much it reminded me of TAXI DRIVER

The best K-Zombie Movie of All Time

I mean who doesn’t love a Zombie movie? I know both seasons of Netflix Kingdom were a huge hit, and All of Us Are Dead received so much attention that season two is coming next year. The outstanding quality and CG artwork really have captured the fans, and here is another five-star quality zombie movie you do not want to miss!

Train To Busan (online review 4.9)

“The walking dead” meets “Snowpiercer” but in Korea, it delivers too. It’s on par if not better than most of it’s Hollywood zombie apocalypse counterparts. It’s a great action flick, it’s paced well so it has your attention drawn throughout and the end is somewhat emotional.

Cast: Gong Yoo, Jeong Yu Mi, Choi Woo Sik

A full-blown zombie pandemic is raging, and many cities fall to the flesh-eaters. The South Korean military manages to establish a safe haven in Busan – so the non-zombie survivors must pool their wits if they are to escape the train without getting infected!

Have You Seen Him Quite Too Often?

Maybe the following movie is not as popular as the ones listed above, but I am sure you have seen this main cast member quite often. That is because he is from one of the legendary idol groups, EXO. Not only is he a great performer on stage, but he has also appeared on various K-variety shows and attracted many fans with his natural charms.

Swing Kids (online review 5.0)

I watched this movie because of Do Kyungsoo. I’m speechless as to how talented he is. His talents are in another level. He is the best for me. Not only he is good at vocals, dancing but also he has proven many times that he is one of the best young actors in Korea.
