The ’60th Baeksang Arts Awards’ took place on the 7th at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Practitioners of popular culture arts who have been active in the fields of TV, film, and theater over the past year gathered together to celebrate great achievements. Following last year’s success, the festival was enjoyed by both the audience and the participants.

This year, Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum showcased their reliable hosting skills as MCs. The team behind the successful global hit Disney+ original series “Moving” was in attendance, adding radiance to the event. Among the nominees for awards, director Park In Je, along with renowned cartoonist Kang Full, actors Ryu Seung Ryong, Lee Jung Ha, and Go Yoon Jung, reunited after a long time. They are the most nominated in the TV category, vying for multiple awards across seven categories.

However, we cannot overlook the titles available on KOCOWA+ that also received such prestigious awards. “My Dearest,” starring Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, captured the hearts of many viewers with its versatile acting and heart-wrenching love story, earning the title of Best Drama. Furthermore, Namkoong Min, portraying Jang Hyun in “My Dearest,” clinched the Best Actor award. Namkoong Min expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’ve often come here just to pass by, but I’m thankful to be able to express my feelings upon receiving this award.”

Additionally, Lee Ha Nee was honored with the Best Actress award for her role in “Knight Flower” in the TV category. She conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the viewers who supported her, emphasizing that “Knight Flower” marked a pivotal moment in her acting career.

Lee Ha Nee shared her challenging experience, revealing, “After giving birth and six months later, I had to fly on a wire and swing a sword on the roof. It was obviously crazy, but after reading the script, I fell in love and couldn’t stop my heart.” She continued, “It was so difficult that I vowed there would never be another action drama in my life, but receiving this award makes me conflicted.” Lee Ha Nee then expressed her gratitude to the staff and her family, saying, “Through you, my daughter, I have experienced a completely different world and learned to live much more fiercely. I am so thankful and I love you.”

In addition to these remarkable achievements, “The Adventure by Accident 2” and “Whales and I” also secured awards for TV variety and docuseries, adding to the joyous occasion.
