Determined to continue their time together, Ji Wan and Yeong Ra decide to find a new place where they can be together while letting Yeong Ra focus on her work.
- Meanwhile, Eun Oh makes a life-changing decision, she refuses to undergo surgery. Her younger brother, who once accepted bribe money from Seong Hee, finally realizes the gravity of his actions, regrets his choices, and returns the money.
- As Seong Hee’s carefully laid plans begin to crumble, she hatches her ultimate scheme. She retrieves her hidden stash of gold bars and cash, then calls Eun Oh under a disguise, offering her a new project to lure her in. When Eun Oh realizes Seong Hee is behind the scheme, she is furious. Seong Hee attempts to tempt her further by offering a building worth over ten million dollars in exchange for the liver transplant, but Eun Oh stands firm, refusing to compromise her principles.

Restoring the device, Seong Hee is stunned to learn that Eun Oh was Woo Jin’s high school best friend. Immediately, she sees this as a way to manipulate Eun Oh into agreeing to the surgery.
- Seong Hee confronts Eun Oh at her office, showing her a photo of Woo Jin and warning that he could die without her help. Eun Oh instinctively rips the photo, but something about it feels familiar. Calling out his name with tears, she resents him for hiding his identity. Finally, in the woods, she finds him lying by a tree, unresponsive.
