“Our Golden Days” Episodes 45 & 46 Recap:
- Once Sang Cheol learns about Ji Hyuk’s condition, he does everything he can to pull his son back from the edge. Watching Ji Hyuk give up on life so easily is more than he can bear. But Ji Hyuk despises the fact that his father now knows the truth and even more so, that nothing has changed but make Sang Cheol worry.
- Jin Seok and Seong Hee finally face off. Seong Hee demands a divorce, but Jin Seok refuses. Instead, he coldly vows to make her suffer, determined to drag her back to the life she lived before him as a restaurant waitress. He makes it clear: he will not divorce her, nor will he provide her with anything. Desperate, Seong Hee storms into Yeong Ra’s office and brazenly demands money. Yeong Ra is left stunned by her mother’s shamelessness.
- Sang Cheol spends his nights researching heart transplants, walking on eggshells around Ji Hyuk, knowing that any emotional slip could push him further away. He isn’t the only one on edge. Eun Oh is, too. After trying relentlessly to win Ji Hyuk’s heart, she is blindsided when he suddenly pulls away. The shift is so drastic that she eventually realizes one thing that Ji Hyuk is lying.
- Ji Hyuk begins living each day as if it might be his last, treasuring even the smallest moments. Su Bin senses that something is wrong when she notices the strange tension between Ji Hyuk and Sang Cheol and when she sees Seong Jae leaving her home in tears. Certain that something serious is unfolding, she confronts Seong Jae, who finally reveals the truth: Ji Hyuk is terminally ill.
- Eun Oh, already suspicious, starts digging for answers. She discovers a bag of medication Ji Hyuk has been taking and sends a photo to a friend, only to confirm her worst fears. Once she knows the truth, she quietly studies his illness and secretly begins preparing low-sodium meals for him.
- Meanwhile, Seong Hee visits a law firm, ready to fight back. With her lawyer, she plans to file a lawsuit against Jin Seok, hoping it will pressure him into a settlement. But things take an unexpected turn, and her plan begins to unravel.
- Ji Hyuk grows uneasy as Eun Oh repeatedly offers him low-sodium lunches and brushes it off when he skips coffee. Eventually, he realizes she knows about his heart condition. But what Ji Hyuk is facing isn’t just heart failure. Even when Eun Oh assures him that she is willing to stay by his side and care for him, he refuses to waver. Only after her persistence does he finally confess the full truth, he doesn’t just have heart failure. He needs a heart transplant.
- After countless failed attempts to reclaim the assets Jin Seok forcibly took from her, Seong Hee reaches her breaking point. Every plan she makes is somehow blocked. Left with no other options, she turns to her final, most dangerous move, contacting a YouTube gossip channel and taking her story public, hoping to buy sympathy from the world.
