  • Jeong Han is the principled director of Gongmyeongjeonghan Clinic and Ju Ah’s father. A warm, down-to-earth neighborhood doctor, he’s also a stubborn romantic who refuses to compromise his beliefs or stray from his own way of doing things. His habit of putting others before his family, however, often creates unintended conflict at home.
  • From the outside, Jeong Han and Seong Mi appear to be the perfect “show-window” couple, a respected doctor and a love-advocating psychiatrist. But behind closed doors, their marriage quietly falters, revealing cracks beneath the polished surface.
  • As the family’s firstborn, Ju Ah is often seen as the bright daughter of an affluent household, raised by two accomplished doctors. Yet beneath that image lies a lifetime of emotional scars. Growing up, she repeatedly heard her parents say, “If it weren’t for Ju Ah, I would never have married you.” Over time, she comes to believe she was born by mistake, not out of love.
  • Desperate to prove her worth, Ju Ah earns her medical license for her parents, only to walk away from it for herself. On the day of her long-awaited debut as a designer, the moment she hopes will finally change their minds, everything unravels when she makes a devastating mistake during a live TV commercial.
  • Crushed, Ju Ah goes out for a drink to console herself and ends up drunk. At the same restaurant, Hyun Bin happens to be dining for an entirely different reason, he’s newly arrived in Korea from Argentina and exploring the city through food. Noticing Ju Ah’s distress, he steps in to help, even arranging a room for her to safely spend the night. It’s only afterward that Hyun Bin realizes the woman he helped is his childhood friend, and first crush.

The truth, however, is far more complicated. Hyun Bin is close friends with the vice president of Tae An Group, the very company Ju Ah works for.
  • What Ju Ah doesn’t know is that this same guys is Hyun Bin who is the grandson of someone she despised all her life. Their relationship is already entangled by her grandfather and Hyun Bin’s grandmother once fell in love and eloped, disappearing without a trace, a mystery that still lingers today. So when the vice president introduces Hyun Bin, the man she thought was stalking her, as the project director for an upcoming project, Ju Ah is left completely stunned.

Professionalism comes first, even if the situation feels deeply unsettling. Hyun Bin, for his part, chooses not to reveal that he’s her childhood friend. Instead, he quietly plays along, watching her from a distance as their past remains unspoken.
  • Tensions rise once again when the two families are pulled back into conflict. As the campaign unfolds, the two men repeatedly clash, each determined to secure support from local marketers and sway public opinion in their favor.
