Yes, you read it right! K-Pop idol and actress Kim Se Jeong and rising actor Nam Yoon Soo are starring in the Korean remake of the popular Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!”
“Today’s Webtoon” is a Korean remake of the 2016 Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!” The SBS drama will tell the story of a former judo athlete who got a job at the webtoon editorial department and her struggles to grow into a true webtoon editor. The drama will also depict the competitive nature of the field in South Korea.
Kim Se Jeong has been in talks to star in this drama since last year, and finally, she’s now confirmed as the main lead of the drama!
“Today’s Webtoon” has attracted attention from the production stage and is raising expectations even more with the casting of Kim Se Jeong and Nam Yoon Soo!

Kim Se Jeong as On Ma Eum
Kim Se Jeong is confirmed to play the main character of the drama, On Ma Eum. She is a former judo athlete who experienced an unfortunate accident during a match.
She is now a new employee who overcame high competition and got a job in the webtoon editorial department. On Ma Eum is an employee who lives with a positive attitude despite overcoming many difficulties.
I’m so excited about how Se Jeong will realistically depict the struggle of a new employee in this drama and see her perfect synchronization to her character in “Today’s Webtoon.”
Se Jeong is one of those K-Pop idols turned actresses who can act. She has proved this through her different dramas such as “School 2017,” “I Wanna Hear Your Song,” and “The Uncanny Counter,” the latter of which made her win a lot of awards!
