What is “Kairos” about?
Kim Seo-Jin (Played by Shin Sung-Rok) is leading the perfect life that everyone is envious about. He has a beautiful wife who is a violinist. He’s also about to become a director at a construction company. Until one day, his life begins falling apart when his daughter goes missing and his wife commits suicide. Seo-Jin is given a mysterious chance to restore everything back to normal by calling a woman to get help. This woman is Han Ae-Ri (played by Lee Se-Young). She’s in distress because her mother has also gone missing while waiting for a suitable heart donor. Then, she receives a call from a stranger telling her that he’s 31 days into the future.

Who are the characters?
Kim Seo-Jin (Played by Shin Sung-Rok)
38 years old. The youngest director in a construction company.
A smart and diligent person who doesn’t let go of any opportunities to succeed in his career. He’s someone who doesn’t believe in people, but numbers.
Seo-Jin is leading a successful life. He has a beautiful wife Hyun-Chae, who’s a violinist, and a young daughter. Seo-Jin aims to provide them with a comfortable life. He’s about to become a director in a few days, and Hyun-Chae has been helping him out with his promotion.
At the charity concert hosted by his company, as Hyun-Chae plays the violin Seo-Jin feels very satisfied with his life, but then their daughter goes missing.
Han Ae-Ri (Played by Lee Se-Young)
26 years old. Part-time worker at a convenience store, aspires to become a civil servant.
Ae-Ri has only one goal in her life now. She wants to earn enough money to get her mother’s heart disease treated. She needed 30 million won for her mother to undergo a heart transplant, and it took a really long time for Ae-Ri to save up enough for it.
Her mother finally finds a donor, but collapses again before her transplant. In the end, she loses the opportunity to get her heart replaced. Ae-Ri is worried about her mother as she doesn’t know how much longer her mother can wait for another suitable heart donor.
To make matters worse, her mother disappears without a word.
While Ae-Ri is still frantically searching for her mother, a stranger calls. He tells her that she is the only person who can save his wife and daughter and begs her to help him. The stranger claims to be from the future and is 31 days ahead of her.
Seo Do-Kyun (Played by Ahn Bo-Hyun)
32 years old. Works at a construction company as a General Manager.
Seo-Jin is known as the “smart, yet difficult boss” but Do-Kyun manages to work well with him. Do-Kyun looks up to Seo-Jin and respects him a lot.
And so, when Seo-Jin loses his wife and daughter, Do-Kyun feels sorry for him and does his best to fill in for Seo-Jin.
Later, Seo-Jin is being investigated for the use of illegal materials and the documents approved by Seo-Jin are suspected to be fabricated. Do-Kyun begins doubting him.
Kang Hyun-Chae (Played by Nam Gyu-Ri)
35 years old. Seo-Jin’s wife, a violinist.
Her life that was shining so brightly changed overnight. Her father goes missing after his company went under due to an accident and her mother becomes bedridden. Rumors that her father committed suicide float around. Hyun-Chae thought her life was over.
Then, she meets Seo-Jin, a man who is very talented and has a promising future. She pretends to be a violinist and the only child of a family that owns a successful business. Well, she’s not completely lying. It used to be the truth.
Just like that, Hyun-Chae marries Seo-Jin and gives birth to a daughter. She thought that her life was finally put back together.
But Hyun-Chae’s world is turned upside down once again. On the day she performs at the charity concert, her daughter goes missing.
