According to Nielsen Korea, the special episode of SBS ‘The Penthouse Hidden Room – Hidden Story,’ recorded 9.8% viewership based on national household ratings.
The special episode of “The Penthouse” featured nine main characters telling the behind-the-scenes story of season one, hosted by Shin Dong Yup and Jang Do Yeon. Six Penthouse kids also appeared and talked with MC Jae-jae.
This episode drew special attention because the season two trailer of “The Penthouse” was released. Season two will premiere its first episode on February 19, as the program schedule has been changed from airing on Mondays and Tuesdays to Friday and Saturday.
In particular, fans are making many speculations on whether Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah), who was killed in season one, will appear again in season two
The actors also expressed their expectations for season two, “We’re working hard on season two, so please wait a little longer.” They added: “A completely different character relationship, faster development, more bloody stories, more than anything imaginable,” and “it may be a little annoying.” They asked viewers to please stay tuned and look forward to more soon!
