Ji Woo gets slapped, Haeng Bok collapses, Hee Eun kneels… there is so much to pay attention to in these last two episodes!
Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 40 & 41 of “Three Bold Siblings”.
“Three Bold Siblings” Episodes 42 & 43 Recap:
- Hee Eun asks So Rim if she can have Mu Yeong to herself for one year since she is terminally ill. So Rim and Mu Yeong are both very shocked, and So Rim feels very uncomfortable. Mu Yeong reassures So Rim that nothing will change even if Hee Eun tries to distract their relationship. When So Rim was worried about it and talked about it with Hyun Jung, Hyun Jung tells So Rim that Hee Eun is probably lying and she is totally capable of it.
- Se Ran asks Sang Jun’s manager for a favor, to look for Young Sik’s biological mother.
- Hee Eun visits Gun Woo’s office and hands him gifts to send to Hyun Jung. Gun Woo greets her welcomingly because he doesn’t know the fact that Hee Eun is Mu Yeoung’s ex / his sister So Rim’s worst enemy. When Gun Woo opens Hee Eun’s gifts at home with other families around, they are all shocked when they see a wedding picture of Mu Yeong and Hee Eun together. When the family realizes that the man in the picture is Mu Yeong, who recently has come to introduce himself as So Rim’s boyfriend, everyone is lost for words.
- Ji Hye begs Mu Yeong in tears to have Hee Eun stay with Mu Yeong for just one year but Mu Yeong coldly rejects her. Ji Hye then gets a call from Hee Eun, and she asks Ji Hye to come join her at a curry restaurant. Ji Hye is startled and tells her mother that the restaurant is owned by So Rim’s family, but Hee Eun was already aware of that. Hee Eun definitely has ulterior motives behind all her actions. When Ji Hye met Hee Eun at Haeng Bok’s curry restaurant, Ji Hye asks Hee Eun to move back home regardless of what Mu Yeong has said. Hee Eun gladly tells her she will, but then she stands up all of sudden, kneels down, and begs So Rim’s parents. She tells them she is Mu Yeong’s ex-wife and that her only wish is to spend her terminally ill life with Mu Yeong and Ji Hye. Jung Sook and Haeng Bok are beyond shocked by her words. When Hee Eung doesn’t back down and relentlessly begs for what she wants, Haeng Bok collapses and falls on the ground with a heart attack.
- Young Sik and Eun Ju couldn’t wait anymore and visited Ji Woo after tirelessly waiting for him at home. Ji Woo is taken by surprise and tells them he is not going back home. He tells Young Sik that he doesn’t want to live with Young Sik anymore and throws some harsh words at him and asks why Young Sik took advantage of him for money. Young Sik couldn’t hold it in anymore and slaps Ji Woo in the face. Young Sik runs home and tries to calm himself, but he gets a surprise visitor, the press. The press asks Young Sik questions like, is it true that he has been raising Sang Jun’s son? Young Sik answers yes while the camera is rolling and pictures are taken.
- Tae Ju and Sang Jun found out that the very first DNA result says Sang Jun and Ji Woo are not a match, meaning Young Sik knew the whole time that Ji Woo wasn’t Sang Jun and deceived everyone in the family.
- Hyun Jung meets with Hee Eun and asks her why she maliciously tortured So Rim and Mu Yeong. Hee Eun plays the victim card and keeps saying that she is going to die soon and it is her last wish. Tae Ju interjects and tells Hee Eun to leave So Rim alone.
- Hee Eun, who is the head of Mint company, brings in a new employee who is Cho Nam Soo..! Hee Eun introduces Nam Soo as a new employee working in the Mint. Mu Yeong then interrupts and suggests to Hee Eun that if Nam Soo is not out of the project, then the whole collaboration will be called off.
- Hee Eun went to So Rim to still persuade her to leave Mu Yeong for at least 6 months. While they were talking, Hee Eun collapses, and So Rim takes her to the hospital. After So Rim sees with her own eyes that Hee Eun wasn’t really lying, So Rim feels really bad for Hee Eun. Mu Young, who was waiting for So Rim in front of her place, was glad to see So Rim. So Rim tears up and asks Mu Yeong to break up.
- Sang Jun goes to the tennis court location where he will have his next shoot. There, he spots a woman who is professionally playing tennis, and Sang Jun and his manager comment on how good she is, not knowing that this person is Hee Eun!!

Sang Jun’s manager asks if Sang Jun is going to press charges against his cousin.
So Rim and Mu Yeong break up and So Rim is truly heartbroken. To not think about Mu Yeong, So Rim starts to learn how to cook and gets prepared to take over Heang Bok’s curry restaurant.
Hee Eun wants to see her daughter Ji Hye get married before she passes away.
Ji Hye tells Hee Eun that she will try to move forward and plan a wedding with Nam Soo.
Hyun Jung and Mu Yeong really try hard to look into Hee Eun’s medical records to see if she is really telling the truth about her illness or not.
