HALLELUJAH! THANK GOD! Young Guk finally got his memories back. I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long. I’ve seen some comments in the past about how people want to quit watching because of this whole amnesia thing, but those people need to come back immediately!! Let’s talk about some of the highlights of “Young Lady and Gentleman” episodes 27 and 28 and talk about what might happen next on episode 29.
Episode 27 and 28 Recap:
- Young Guk’s Memories are Finally Back!
Young Guk’s memories are back, and he feels guilty about the fact that he made Dan Dan go through all this trouble. They are finally reunited in a crosswalk waiting for the traffic light to turn green… HOWEVER, after going through such a huge stress and probably in a huge shock, Young Guk dangerously faints right in front of Dan Dan.
- Young Guk is Hospitalized
It was only a slight moment to hope that Young Guk’s memories came back… He is now hospitalized, but nothing severe. When he woke up, his memories were back to when he went to the mountains, and he fell because of the handkerchief. So his memories are back! But all the memories of the past 3 months he lived as a 22-year-old are all gone.
- Ana Kim is Going to Have a Major Surgery
Ana fainted with such pain in the previous episodes, and she was diagnosed with cancer. She is resting in the hospital, waiting on the date of her surgery. However she has no one to take care of her, so Soo Chul kindly offers to be with her throughout this process.
- Young Guk’s Confrontation
Young Guk confronts Sa Ra about this whole bizarre nonsense of what happened in the last three months. He furiously asks her why she lied all this time and deceived everyone into thinking that they are, in fact, getting married. Sa Ra doesn’t back down and tells him that 22-year-old Young Guk genuinely liked her and that she couldn’t let go of this opportunity she has dreamed about for a long time.
- Young Guk’s Sincere Apology
He apologizes to Dan Dan and tells her he cannot fathom what she has gone through the past months while his memories are all gone. Young Guk’s apology doesn’t stop here, but he apologizes again and says all this public mess that he had caused he needs to be responsible for. (What does he mean by that?!?!?!? Is he continuing the marriage with Sa Ra?) Dan Dan then decides she needs to stay away from Young Guk…
- The Kids Stops Dan Dan Leaving
Se Chan and Se Jong plan a project to prevent Dan Dan from leaving the house. They take her clothes so she cannot pack. (Adorable plan!) She decides to stay the rest of the three months she has left before leaving for the States. Se Chan and Se Jong are on the same page on agreeing to rather have Dan Dan as their stepmom than Sa Ra.
- Dae Ran Confides in Mi Sook
Dae Ran is in tears thinking of how her daughter was swayed by Dae Bum and his family (which is definitely not true) and talks bad about them to Mi Sook (without knowing that Mi Sook is Dae Bum’s aunt!!!! LOL)
- Sa Ra Fabricates a Press!
Everyone in the house read a piece of news online about Young Guk and Sa Ra getting engaged and Young Guk is furious about it! Sa Ra feels no guilt about what she has done because, at this point, she is willing to do anything to be Young Guk’s wife. Sa Ra expresses her anger and spins this to all on Young Guk that he just frigidly used her. (I feel like she is brainwashing him… and guilt-tripping him!)
- Young Guk’s Drunk Confession
Young Guk had quite a few drinks due to all the stress that he was going through. He is a man of his words, and since he made a public announcement about him and Sa Ra’s engagement, he thinks there is no going back. However, he drunkenly confesses to Dan Dan and tells her that he just wants to be a prick and just go with his true feelings…his feelings toward Dan Dan.
- What is Happening!
Ana Kim asks Soo Chul for a very difficult favor. After her recovery from the surgery and all the support Soo Chul has provided to her, Ana asks Soo Chul to leave for the States with Dan Dan. (I mean, why can’t she just tell him that she is the mother of Dan Dan and she is his ex-lover!!! Just tell him already!)

Seriously, guys, there is too much love going on in this drama. Not just between Young Guk and Dan Dan but Ana Kim and Soo Chul, Dae Bum and Se Ryun, and the two college students Jun Oh and Mi Rim… I can hardly keep up!! LOL…But this whole complex story between all these couples is what gets me going and anticipating the next episode! Here is the episode 29 trailer deep dive!
Ana Kim talks to Dan Dan’s stepmom and tells her she wants both Dan Dan and Soo Chul to leave for the states with her.
Dan Dan cannot back down anymore and just watch this whole Sa Ra–Young Guk engagement nonsense. She steps up and fights for her love! Dan Dan and Sa Ra, fight on!
Yeon Sil (Dan Dan’s stepmom) admits that she received some money from Soo Chul’s older sister and starts to pester and get on Soo Chul’s back to go to the States and earn some money.
Soo Chul falls for Ana Kim…too…!

This writer is insane. I have finally reached a point where I can no longer watch this show. It’s like the writers switched mid-drama. I might come back after its fully aired but I cant what the sheer stupidity anymore. Does the writer think the viewers are as stupid as the characters he writes?
I can feel the heat from all the way over here!! :PP LOL I mean it is very typical of daily kdramas with fast paced, makjang element, storyline. But I definitely get you Mia! I hope the story gets better and better. Let’s wait and see
