Trailer Deep Dive: “Young Lady and Gentleman” Episode 37 Trailer Breakdown

There were a few MAJOR CRINGE moments where I almost threw my iPad, but it was better than the previous episodes where I had nothing but frustration. In the last two episodes, I caught myself smiling continuously…! Finally, Young Guk and Dan Dan honestly fess up about their feelings toward each other. And for this, all the anger and stress that I had up to this episode all went away. Episode 35 and 36 Recap:

• FINALLY…!! <3

Young Guk and Dan Dan seem like they are finally moving in the right direction. Young Guk finds Dan Dan in Nam San, freezing cold, and he finally confesses to Dan Dan that he wants to pursue this love relationship. Dan Dan and Young Guk promise to each other that they will stay strong together, and they start their “secret” romance in the house.

• Dae Bum and Se Ryun’s Breakup

Dae Bum and Se Ryun seem to break up permanently, and Dae Ran is pushing Se Ryun to get with Seung Ho, who definitely suits her social class and status. Seung Ho continues to show his affection towards Se Ryun.

• An Unwelcome Guest

After Sa Ra and Cha Gun return from their happy date, Sa Ra’s ex (Se Jong’s biological father) sprung up and threatened Sa Ra with Se Jong’s location. Cha Gun finds out that Sa Ra had a child and was hiding it all along. Cha Gun is shocked to find out this news. (In Korea, it can come off as a big shock for a woman to give birth alone without getting married) Sa Ra then tells Cha Gun about her past and tells him to go find a better woman…

• Ana Kim’s Wishes..

Ana Kim secretly follows Dan Dan to see her own daughter happy. Soo Chul catches her and is livid to see Ana Kim around Dan Dan due to what she has done to them in the past. Soo Chul threatens Ana Kim to never ever come to see them again. Even if that’s watching them secretly. (What can Ana Kim do to make this all okay…?)

• Young Guk and Dan Dan’s Lovers’ Quarrel

Dan Dan gets upset about the fact that Young Guk is acting the same way he did when they were not in a relationship. She clearly tells him that, now that they are officially going out,  he should act differently towards her. She was a bit sulky about him not telling her good night before going to sleep. (And I call this a ridiculous, cringe, cliché lover’s quarrel…)

• Dae Ran Finds Out a Big Shocker…

Dae Ran finds out that Seung Ho, who is going to get married to Se Ryun soon, has a secret child. However, Dae Ran does anything, with her power, to prevent this news from Se Ryun because Dae Ran believes this marriage is necessary for her daughter and is going to bring benefits to her family. (I cannot believe this!!!! Why would she hide this huge secret from her daughter?…Money is the problem! )

• Se Ryun Finds Out about Seung Ho’s Past…

Se Ryun’s close friend reveals information about Seung Ho having a secret child. Se Ryun asks Da Ran to find out about his past. But Se Ryun quickly conceals the truth and tells Se Ryun not to worry. Se Ryun is very irritated and has this uncomfortable feeling in the back of her mind...Mi Sook confesses to Se Ryun and tells the truth about Seung Ho. Se Ryun is shocked about the fact that Mi Sook was the one who staged everything so that it can seem like Seung Ho and Se Ryun were destined to meet. Se Ryun is brokenhearted about the fact that her mother seems to only care about the money and has deceived her all along. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Young Guk finds out about how Seung Ho’s family’s company is seeking after the company Young Guk owns.

• Se Ryun’s Big Decision

Se Ryun believes all this chaos is happening due to her company shares that her father handed over. Se Ryun decides to give up all her company shares and tells Dae Ran about it, which Dae Ran went nuts about. Dae Ran threatens Young Guk to change Se Ryun’s decision.

• Dae Ran’s Gone Insane

Dae Ran has gone crazy and asks for half of the company’s shares Se Ryun has given up. (I mean, I cannot even write in words how insane this woman has become…because of money..!!! You just gotta watch the episode…it’s hilarious) Then even worse, Dae Ran finds out that Mi Sook is the older sister of Soo Chul, the family Dae Ran abhors.

Trailer Breakdown for Episode 37 of “Young Lady and Gentleman”:

I am left again with a huge cliffhanger where Young Guk and Dan Dan are in this gorgeous, amazing-looking restaurant where he hands her a ring. Does this mean they are getting married?!?!?! OMG! FINALLY!!! But knowing how K-Dramas are, I cannot be so sure yet. So, let’s deep dive into the upcoming episode for more clues!

Dan Dan is deliriously happy and shouts, “We are officially, officially, going out!” (still not sure if Young Guk proposed or just gave her a ring as a relationship partner).

Cha Gun cannot give up on Sa Ra, so he visits her place and meets with Sa Ra’s mom.

Before leaving Korea, Ana Kim hands something (not sure what it is, but it is a huge envelope) to Soo Chul, telling him this is the last thing she wants to do for Dan Dan. Of course, Soo Chul strongly refuses to take it.

When Se Ryun was wrongly treated on a street, Dae Bum barges in like a hero and saves her from injustice. (Another cliché moment LOL)

Dae Ran throws water at Dan Dan’s face, telling her, “ do you think you are?” (Another obstacle AGAIN between Dan Dan and Young Guk…)What did you guys all think of the previous episodes?

I know there were some comments hating the writer because things were going so slow and Young Guk and Dan Dan just couldn’t be a happy couple, but now that they are, can we be expecting more happiness to come?
