This week is the 2nd week where daily K-Drama “Bravo, My Life” has started. It is a good feeling to know that we have something to watch on a daily basis, and it is a good one too!

According to TNMS, KBS daily drama “Bravo, My Life” recorded 15.8% viewership ratings.

In the recent episode, Seo Dong Hee told Baek Seung Joo, who left her baby at her grandmother’s house, “My grandmother also died from the shock of my brother’s accident.” But Seung Joo said coldly, “I gave birth only because he said he would take responsibility. Either his younger sister will take responsibility or take the baby to the orphanage.”

Dong Hee, who headed home to her aunt Seo Myung Sook, told her she would raise her nephew Him Chan. However, Myung Sook said with a straight face, “You can’t raise him by yourself,” and added, “Send it back to his mother or just send him to the orphanage. You didn’t even graduate from high school. So how are you going to raise him? You won’t even get to go to college and graduate! And you can’t even get married to him!” laying out all the negative and practical reasons Dong Hee might face raising her nephew.

Kang Cha Yeol (played by Yang Byeong Yeol), who is an adoptee in the drama, struggled with the guilt of causing a big car accident that ended up killing someone. One day he saw a placard for witnesses at the scene of the accident and called the number on it. Dong Hee answered, saying, “Did you call because of my brother’s accident?” and Cha Yeol abruptly hung up the call and sobbed with guilt. He could no longer take the guilt and decided to leave to study an MBA abroad.

Dong Hee, who knew how adamant her aunt was when she said she would send Him Chan to the orphanage, decided otherwise. She leaves the house alone with her baby to a motel and makes a pledge to herself, “You are my son now. I’m your mother. It may be difficult, but I will do my best to raise you. So, let’s do well together.”

But it is not easy to find a job or apply for single-parent support.

Myung Sook and the rest of the family ran around looking for missing Dong Hee. Dong Hee found Myung Sook looking for her and Him Chan and hid behind the building because she decided to help and protect herself and Him Chan.

I am already feeling for Dong Hee. She is only in high school but kindly decides to take care of the only child of her dead brother. I feel so much empathy for her, and probably this might be one of the reasons why this drama is already highly loved even when it just started last week!
