“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 31 & 32 Recap:

• Pil Seung is in immense shock upon discovering that Soo Yeon is his biological mother. To worsen matters, he learns that she had abandoned him on Sung Young’s doorstep when he was just seven days old. He drives aimlessly, attempting to piece everything together, but the more he reflects on the situation, the more hurt and confused he becomes.
• Seeking to make amends, Soo Yeon calls Pil Seung over to explain and sincerely apologize. She slowly details the circumstances that led her to leave him, but Pil Seung scoffs at every word that comes out of her mouth, dismissing each explanation as a ridiculous excuse.

• Ma Ri, representing her mother, visits Pil Seung’s home to seek forgiveness. However, his family coldly rejects her and forbids her from visiting like she used to. Soo Yeon then goes to Sun Young’s home once more to beg forgiveness and daringly asks if Ma Ri can still visit, despite the audacity of her request.
• Both families acknowledge that Pil Seung and Ma Ri are the primary victims in this situation. Despite being biological siblings, they are prevented from meeting due to their parents’ turmoil. Pil Seung insists on continuing to see Ma Ri. After gaining approval from his family, Pil Seung decides he will see Ma Ri whenever he wishes, which Sun Young accepts gratefully.
• However, when Sun Young expresses thanks to Pil Seung for accepting Ma Ri, he bluntly informs her that his decision has nothing to do with her and he still does not accept her.

• To make Soo Yeon feel better, Jin Taek visits Sun Young to ask for forgiveness. However, Sun Young does not say a word about why their friendship fell apart. Soo Yeon was appalled that Jin Taek would go out of his way to mend things between her and Sun Young. Out of guilt, Sun Young confesses that she has been lying to him all these years and demands a divorce. She starts spitting out hurtful words to convince him that she has wanted a divorce for a long time.
• A new tenant moves into a home of Pil Seung’s house. This time is a male because Geum Ja wouldn’t accept any females in the house after Ji Young had made a big fuss in the house getting into a relationship with Pil Seung.
• Soo Yeon’s divorce got all families shaken. Soo Yeon’s relative starts to ask Sun Young, since they were once best friends, if she knew anything about Soo Yeon’s divorce. Pil Seung also hears about this news.

• As Pil Seung scouts locations for his shoot, he spots someone entering a club. Initially dismissing the possibility, he believes it couldn’t be Ma Ri visiting such a place late at night.
• However, Pil Seung’s assumption proves wrong—it is indeed Ma Ri who has run away from home upon learning of her mother’s divorce request, determined to defy her and forge her own path. Soo Yeon, desperate to locate Ma Ri, seeks help and thankfully, Pil Seung assists in finding her.

• Ji Young’s grandmother moves in with Ji Young and her family as her dementia worsens. Determined to care for her, Ji Young provides constant support. Her loving grandmother soon discovers Ji Young and Pil Seung’s mutual feelings for each other and becomes a supportive force in their relationship.
• Meanwhile, Jin Dan proceeds with his marriage to another chaebol family, but he remains unable to shake his feelings for Do Ra. He visits Mi Ja’s home in search of Ji Young, confessing that Ji Young reminds him so much of Do Ra that he gets butterflies whenever he sees her. Mi Ja, fearful of Jin Dan uncovering Ji Young’s true identity as Do Ra, takes measures to ensure this revelation never comes to light.
• Ae Gyo comes across a baby picture in Soo Yeon’s makeup drawer, but it’s clear the child isn’t Ma Ri. Perplexed, she investigates further and learns the boy in the picture is Pil Seung.

“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 33 Trailer breakdown:

Mi Ja is threatened by creditors from whom she borrowed money in the past. Facing the possibility of being unable to repay her debts, she finds herself in a life-threatening situation.

Mi Ja, desperate for financial assistance, turns to Jin Dan as her last resort and asks him for money. However, Jin Dan is reluctant to provide financial aid without conditions.

Meanwhile, Jin Dan grows uneasy as he notices Ji Young spending more time with Pil Seung.
