Would you like to get slapped by a K-Drama, then thrown on a rollercoaster, up a rainbow, and into the pit of a shark only to be saved by amnesia? Okay, nothing I just wrote makes sense… but you understood the feels right!

Welcome to the world of “The Second Husband,” sure to thrill, chill, spill, heal, and for real? you as you race through all 110 current episodes. (Yes, child, there are one hundred and ten of them right now with more to come). But not to fret because they are an amuse-bouche at less than 30 minutes each. Let’s dive right in to our 5 Reasons Why! Reason #1…

1) The Literal 2nd Husband is Not Bad on the Eyes

Let’s get this out of the way – neither one of the husbands are bad on the eyes, but since the title is “THE SECOND HUSBAND,” let’s take a moment to appreciate just how well Cha Seo Won cleans up. Is he a reason to watch? Yes, ma’am. Should you watch only for him? I’m gonna say yes.

2) It’s an Intense Super Makjang for Old K-Drama Stans

You know the kind – bookoo family secrets, everyone is somehow related, the rich fight the poor (that they are most likely secretly related to, haha), karma is a (rhymes with witch), and every trope in the world is thrown in as a plot twist. Seriously, it would be a fun Bingo game: “B-5…Amnesia…B-5…Amnesia”

3) It’s Got That Eeevil Mother-In-Law Energy

Some K-Dramas have that evil lead you hate, and others have that evil lead you love-to-hate. Dare I say this is the latter? Early on (and slight spoilers), the mother-in-law here gets the upper hand Every Single Time, <ARGH! RIP HAIR OUT ENERGY!> But you know she is going down in the end because this is a REVENGE saga, mwah haha. Oh, how you will relish that day. (end spoilers)

4) Speaking of Revenge, This is One!

Y’all, this is a revenge tale that is primed to give you all your revenge feels for the winter months. You might have to go through some RAGE to get to those feels, but the feels are coming! What is that old saying…You got to stand in line to get on the rollercoaster…(also, did I just make that up? Maybe…)

5) It’s Got The Perfect Melodrama Vibe

For this one, I will leave you with a comment from a reviewer who, I think, encapsulated the feels perfectly:

“It’s got the perfect melodrama vibe where everything is tangled together in the most insane way, and it’s an absolute mess, but you still hang onto every episode for dear life.”

– Francesca Hill

Yes, yes, and yes to that, Francesca! Also, any drama that is described as an “absolute mess” goes on my must watch list <laughing face emoji>.

Intrigued? How about this: even though the initial run was supposed to be 120 episodes, “The Second Husband” has been extended for another 30 episodes! If that isn’t a testament to how much the fans are enjoying this makjang-revenge fest (and the studios are enjoying the ratings, ha!), then I’m at a loss, y’all.

Want to check it out for yourself? We got you covered! You can catch up on 110+ episodes of “The Second Husband” right now on KOCOWA. And, of course, we will have all 150 episodes available on-site as soon as each episode airs. Now, is that service or is that service?

  1. Agree with Margarita. They totally have no respect for viewers. Dragging it for too long is annoying. If only I knew it’s gonna be that long, I would’ve never started. Sad.

  2. This kdrama had potential but the writers decided to make it boring and dragging ridiculously long I feel bad for the actors because without a doubt they’re pretty good. But the scrip hummm I invested my time and I will finish it up however I won’t watch it a second time like others. Pity really don’t understand why they extended and dragging so much it says the same thing in different through the episodes over and over. They should be more respectful of us and not treat us like we are dumb. My opinion with all respect
