“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 11 & 12 Recap:

• After Pil Seung and Do Ra share a gentle kiss, Pil Seung finds himself unable to stop dreaming about Do Ra repeatedly. Despite his efforts to deny it, he firmly declares that he won’t allow himself to fall too deeply for Do Ra.

• Jin Taek’s aunt, desperate to uncover the truth about what she’s heard regarding Soo Yeon and her past, turns to Ae Gyo for help. Ae Gyo, who serves as both Jin Taek’s father’s mistress and Jin Dan’s mother, as well as being an alumna of both Soo Yeon and Sun Young, is tasked with investigating further into Soo Yeon’s background. However, Ae Gyo uncovers something peculiar: the stories told by Soo Yeon and Sun Young about how they came to live in the same neighborhood don’t align. This discovery prompts Dae Sook and Ae Gyo to delve deeper, ultimately revealing that Soo Yeon is in a long-term relationship with a man, and they embark on a search to locate him.

• Do Ra openly expresses her feelings for Pil Seung, and they even go to the amusement park together. Pil Seung initially worries that someone might notice them together, but all his concerns fade away when he finds himself fully immersed in the moment.

• Now that Jin Dan has inherited Angel’s investment, he feels more confident in appealing to Do Ra. As he waits for her to come home, he shares the news with her, expressing his newfound ownership and his desire for her to reconsider him. However, Do Ra rejects him with a mixture of fear and disgust. Disheartened, Jin Dan calls his assistant to inquire whether Do Ra is involved with someone else.

• Pil Seung reluctantly rejects Do Ra’s feelings, knowing that dating a big star would take a toll on both him and his career. Despite Do Ra’s devastation and heartbreak, Pil Seung feels compelled to deny his feelings. Do Ra, refusing to give up, tries to persuade Pil Seung’s heart and waits endlessly for him at a café, but he doesn’t show up.

He receives a text message from Do Ra asking where he is, and he replies, ‘at the broadcaster.’ Unbeknownst to him, she had left the café but was nearby, watching him, deeply disappointed by his lie until the very end.

• Feeling defeated, Do Ra agrees to what Pil Seung wants and tells him they should never meet again. However, Pil Seung can’t bear to let her go without confessing the truth. He grabs her and tells her that he likes her and doesn’t want to hide his feelings anymore.
• Fortunately, Do Ra and Pil Seung’s drama becomes a megahit, bringing them both newfound fame and recognition. With Do Ra receiving constant calls and emails, their careers soar to new heights.

• Despite the attention and demands on their time, Do Ra and Pil Seung don’t hesitate to continue their relationship. They make time for each other and go on dates, cherishing their moments together like any other couple. Despite the challenges of fame and busy schedules, their love only grows stronger as they navigate their newfound success together.

• Sun Young coincidentally encounters Mi Ja on the street, and Mi Ja reveals that Geum Ja has received $50,000 from her, money that was coerced to settle a debt from the past. Sun Young is furious and confronts Mi Ja and Hyun Chul for their deceitful actions, going behind her back and exchanging money in return for the harm Mi Ja inflicted on Sun Young’s father.
• Enraged by the revelation that Do Ra didn’t reciprocate his feelings, Jin Dan confronts Mi Ja, questioning why she instigated their relationship despite knowing Do Ra’s true feelings. He accuses Mi Ja of being a manipulative middleman who falsely raised his hopes. Threatening consequences, Jin Dan gives Mi Ja an ultimatum: she has one month to make Do Ra develop feelings for him, or he will take drastic measures to remove Do Ra from the industry. Mi Ja, startled and filled with fear, realizes the gravity of the situation and the consequences of her actions.
• Mi Ja and Pil Seung’s mother, Sun Young, harbor deep animosity toward each other due to their turbulent past. Sun Young, driven by her anger and grief, confronts Mi Ja after learning that her husband accepted $50,000 from her. Sun Young, disgusted by Mi Ja’s lack of remorse regarding her father’s death, demands that she stay away from their family for good.
• In response, Mi Ja cruelly throws vicious words at Sun Young, dismissing her father’s genuine attempts by gifting her jewelry and money as meaningless. This further escalates the tension between them, deepening their animosity and fueling Sun Young’s resolve to keep Mi Ja away from her family.

• As Pil Seung and Do Ra’s relationship deepens, they seek out private places to spend time together without interruption. After Pil Seung drops Do Ra off at her place, Mi Ja happens to spot them together and immediately recognizes Pil Seung as Ko Dae Chung, also known as Ko Pil Seung. Fueled by anger, Mi Ja rushes toward them, yelling for them to stop and attempting to intervene in their conversation.

Ae Gyo and Dae Sook are shocked to discover that Soo Yeon had a child from her previous relationship. Ae Gyo is particularly eager to find out who her son is and where Soo Yeon has hidden him.

As news of Do Ra and Pil Seung’s relationship spreads, both sides of the family intervene, putting a stop to their dating. Confused and frustrated, Do Ra wonders why everyone is so opposed to their relationship.

Later, Do Ra learns about the dark deeds her mother, Mi Ja, committed against Pil Seung’s family in the past. Feeling betrayed and resentful, she confronts her mother. Unable to bear the strain on their relationship caused by external pressures, Pil Seung ultimately asks Do Ra to break up.
