“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 23 & 24 Recap:
- Mi Ja finds out that her first son, Do Sik, is dating Myung Dong, who is Pil Seung’s cousin. Geum Ja and Mi Ja are both furious that their daughter and son are dating. Additionally, Do Sik reveals that the country bumpkin, Ji Young, whom Mi Ja hates reminded him of Do Ra.
- Jae Dong (Do Ra’s ex-manager) really wants to have Ji Young as his first celebrity in his agency. After Do Ra passed away, Jae Dong was actively seeking someone to work with, and when he saw Ji Young acting, he couldn’t let go of the idea of her being his first celebrity. However, Pil Seung stopped Jae Dong because he believed Ji Young would follow the same path as Do Ra did once before.
- Pil Seung takes the time to speak to Ji Young from the depths of his heart, expressing his fear of losing his loved ones, especially after the tragedy of Do Ra’s death. Ji Young truly listens and understands that Pil Seung’s actions were driven by genuine concern and love for her, rather than ill intentions to hinder her pursuit of her dreams. Now, Ji Young finds herself at a crossroads between her career and her feelings for Pil Seung.
- However, it’s Pil Seung who changes his mindset and starts treating her as Ji Young, not as Do Ra. He decides to support what he believes is best for Ji Young without preemptively worrying about the future. In a romantic gesture, he confesses his feelings and asks her to officially be together. The suddenness of his declaration catches Ji Young off guard, leaving her with little time to respond. Despite objections from Geum Ja, Sun Young, and others in the family, Pil Seung doesn’t waver. He boldly announces their relationship, asserting that he won’t allow anyone to oppose their mutual feelings.
- Love is in the air again with Ma Ri, who is deeply in love with Pil Seung. She goes to great lengths to be with him, even hiding in his closet until he returns home so they can spend the night together. Unable to tolerate Ma Ri’s behavior any longer, Soo Yeon decides to reveal the truth to Ma Ri: Pil Seung is her biological brother and hence, they can never be romantically together.
- The youngest of Mi Ja’s children, Do Jun, deeply misses his oldest sister, Do Ra. To him, Do Ra was the best sister he could ever ask for. However, because of how their mother treated her and wasn’t the protector and a shield when Do Ra needed her to be, Do Ra is no longer with them. Despite leaving the family, Do Jun still harbors grudges toward his mother, Mi Ja, and longs for Do Ra.
- Jin Dan and Do Ra share a final meal together, but when Do Ra informs Jin Dan that this will be the last debt she owes him, he loses control in anger. Her words trigger his insecurities about always being the one who gets rejected. Meanwhile, Jin Dan’s mother, Ae Gyo, discovers that he lied to his arranged marriage partner to see Ji Young. Ae Gyo is furious and pays Ji Young a visit to warn her to stay away from Jin Dan, even offering her money. This incident leaves a negative impression on Pil Seung’s family.
- Jin Dan visits Ji Young to apologize on behalf of his mother, Ae Gyo. He asks Ji Young to reconsider him, even proposing that being with him would change her entire lifestyle as he promises to shower her with money. Ji Young rejects him, triggering Jin Dan once again to become violent. Thankfully, Pil Seung intervenes and becomes furious with Jin Dan for treating Ji Young with such atrocious behavior.
“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 25 Trailer breakdown:
After Ma Ri learns about Pil Seung’s true identity, she approaches Soo Yeon and asks if she can assist Pil Seung with their resources. Soo Yeon gladly accepts her offer and establishes a drama production house under the family company.
With this production house, Soo Yeon is able to provide financial support and invest in Pil Seung’s dramas, also an act to make up for what she did to him, bringing immense opportunity and happiness to him.
Pil Seung vows to himself that he will never lose his loved ones due to a lack of support or resources. He becomes more eager and passionate than ever to protect and nurture what he loves.
