Here are the highlights of episodes 29 & 30 of “Beauty and Mr. Romantic”.

“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 29 & 30 Recap:

• After rescuing Pil Seung, Soo Yeon ended up with a broken shoulder. It was odd to see Soo Yeon sacrificing so much for Pil Seung, but she was relieved to see him okay.
• Geum Ja couldn’t shake the thought of how strange Soo Yeon had been during the recent accident, and she tried to recall all the past situations when Soo Yeon had acted overly affectionate towards Pil Seung.
• Pil Seung buys a fancy lunch for Soo Yeon and Ma Ri in appreciation for saving his life, and Soo Yeon couldn’t be happier to see him well and getting along with Ma Ri.

• Now that Pil Seung is prosperous, he helps his parents start a restaurant business. On opening day, Soo Yeon and Ma Ri visited to congratulate them. There, Geum Ja eavesdropped on a conversation about Pil Seung being Soo Yeon’s biological son. However, no one believed Geum Ja who heard this from Ma Ri, and knowing Ma Ri had the mentality of an 8-year-old; it seemed unbelievable to other people. Geum Ja started having nightmares about the day she overheard Ma Ri and Soo Yeon talking about Pil Seung. Unable to contain herself, she called Ma Ri over to ask about the truth. Geum Ja began to instigate Ma Ri, and finally, Ma Ri confessed everything to her—that Pil Seung is her half-brother which means Soo Yeon had Pil Seung with another man in the past.

• Do Sik had a business dinner with his colleagues, but one of them got drunk and started talking incessantly about Park Do Ra being sponsored by an old man, which supposedly led to her suicide. Do Sik became infuriated and got into a fistfight with his colleague, resulting in him in the police station, needing a large sum of money for a settlement.
• Mi Ja pushes Ji Young to do anything to earn money to help Do Sik get out of trouble. Mi Ja persuades Ji Young to work at a nightclub as a performer. Naive Ji Young accepts the offer and sings at the nightclub, putting all her ego as a rookie actress aside.

• Ji Young gets into big trouble with her drama production company, GOGO Entertainment after they find out about her being a nightclub singer. Ji Young is now on the verge of getting kicked out of the drama, and Pil Seung gets furious. He pays the nightclub the penalty fee so that Ji Young won’t have to sing there again and to keep Ji Young from his drama. Mi Ja visits Pil Seung to explain the situation, but the more she talks, the more livid he becomes. He knew this was going to happen again under Mi Ja’s roof.
• Mi Ja conducts a DNA test between Pil Seung and Ma Ri, which turns out to be positive, confirming that they are biologically related. Geum Ja ends up telling Pil Seung’s adoptive father. Eventually, Geum Ja confesses to Sun Young that Pil Seung’s birth mother is her best friend, Soo Yeon.
• Now everything clicked: Soo Yeon was always overtly generous towards Pil Seung and overly involved in his life every step of the way. Sun Young never doubted her, but now that she knows the truth, Sun Young is disgusted by Soo Yeon’s deceitful behavior for such a long time. Sun Young rushes to Soo Yeon’s workplace and confronts her.

• Sun Young is disgusted by the fact that a human being could do such a thing to her and her family. Soo Yeon couldn’t say a word; she was feeling an immense amount of guilt. Their friendship has hit rock bottom.
• Ji Young found out that the reason she wasn’t cut from the drama was because Pil Seung had paid off everything to get her out of the nightclub and still maintain her as one of the lead characters in the drama. She was so thankful but at the same time felt very bad that she had caused such worry and distress.
• Jin Dan finds out that Ji Young and Mi Ja are living together and finds this very strange.
• Soo Yeon relentlessly visited Sun Young’s home to ask for forgiveness, but of course, Sun Young wouldn’t accept her apology that easily. One day, Pil Seung unfortunately heard them arguing and found out that he is indeed Soo Yeon’s biological son. He was lost for words.

Ma Ri asks the family to forgive her mother, but it is not that easy. Soo Yeon’s current husband is the only person in the immediate family who doesn’t know about the situation, but he eventually gets told by Sun Young.
