“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 33 & 34 Recap:
- Ae Gyo finds it odd that Soo Yeon kept Pil Seung’s baby picture in her makeup drawer.
- Mi Ja is threatened by debtors demanding repayment of her past debt, which could endanger Do Shik and Do Jun. She visits Jin Dan to ask for money, sweetly reminding him that she once considered him her son-in-law. However, her attempt fails, leaving her to walk home helplessly.
- Ji Young is torn between Pil Seung and Mi Ja’s conflicting perspectives. She sees Pil Seung as a good person, but Mi Ja continually warns her against getting too close to him. Despite Mi Ja’s advice, Ji Young cannot conceal her feelings for Pil Seung. He, in turn, accepts Ji Young’s emotions wholeheartedly and is prepared to support her through everything. Pil Seung ensures he remains by her side through thick and thin.
- The debtors track down Mi Ja at her home and forcefully make her sign a contract, threatening that she must surrender her body if she fails to repay her debt. Meanwhile, Ji Young discovers that Mi Ja accumulated significant debts while Ji Young was living as Do Ra.
- Mi Ja once again involves Ji Young in turmoil. She confesses to Ji Young that when she was Do Ra, she and Jin Dan were in love and engaged. Due to Pil Seung, Do Ra backed out of the wedding. Mi Ja pleads with Ji Young that if she rekindles her relationship with Jin Dan, their debts will be resolved.
- In deep confusion, Ae Gyo confides in Jin Taek that Soo Yeon may have had a baby before marrying him, and that baby might be Pil Seung. Initially shocked by Ae Gyo’s candidness, Jin Taek later considers the possibility that Ae Gyo might be telling the truth.
- Ae Gyo goes out of her way to obtain Pil Seung’s DNA for testing with Soo Yeon’s.
- Ji Young faces relentless debtors at home daily, urging Mi Ja to stay healthy for organ donation. Overwhelmed and unsure, Ji Young considers asking Pil Seung for money but loses her nerve upon seeing him. Feeling immense pressure and responsibility, she sees a potential solution in being with Jin Dan.
- Ae Gyo rushes home with the DNA results confirming that Soo Yeon and Pil Seung are a match. This news leaves Jin Taek speechless.
- Jin Taek kicks Soo Yeon out of the house upon confirming that Pil Seung is her biological son. He struggles to comprehend that Soo Yeon has been lying to him for all these years and that Ma Ri had known about it as well.
- Ji Young reluctantly starts a relationship with Jin Dan knowing this will pay off all of Mi Ja’s debts. They go on a date, and Jin Dan is visibly excited. However, Ji Young appears somewhat distant in this forced relationship.
- Soo Yeon repeatedly asks for forgiveness from Jin Taek and finally reveals the truth, admitting she doesn’t understand why she couldn’t be honest earlier. Despite this, Jin Taek remains unforgiving, and the stress leads Soo Yeon to be hospitalized. Adding to her troubles, she is ousted as CEO of GOGO Entertainment. Jin Dan, who is the company’s largest investor, discovers that Pil Seung is Soo Yeon’s biological son. Feeling betrayed and leveraging his influence as a major shareholder, he forces both Soo Yeon and Pil Seung to resign.
- After the intense turmoil, Ji Young visits Pil Seung to console him, which infuriates Jin Dan upon discovering it.
- After Jin Dan halted the production of Pil Seung’s drama, staff and celebrities staged a boycott in front of APP Group to protest against Jin Dan’s decision.
