“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 35 & 36 Recap:

Pil Seung and the rest of the drama crew protested in front of APP Group to resume shooting for the drama after Jin Dan and Jin Taek had put a stop to it.
Pil Seung finds out that Ji Young is dating Jin Dan, and in disbelief, asks Mi Ja and confirms that it was Mi Ja who persuaded her daughter to enter a romantic relationship with Jin Dan for a large sum of money. Pil Seung tells Mi Ja that Ji Young does not have feelings for Jin Dan and that Mi Ja has no right to coerce Ji Young into a forced relationship. Mi Ja guilt-trips Pil Seung and begs him not to interfere with Ji Young’s choices.
Soo Yeon was dismissed from her position at GOGO Entertainment after Jin Taek ordered Jin Dan to take her place.

After Jin Taek kicks Soo Yeon out of the house and Ma Ri reacts strongly to the situation, there is no one left to continue the lineage of the APP chaebol group. Jin Taek’s aunt suggests that Jin Taek adopt Jin Dan as his son. Jin Taek finds this idea absurd, but Jin Dan sees it differently because it means he could potentially take over and become the successor of the APP Group.
Meanwhile, Jin Dan and Ji Young’s relationship seems to be slowly progressing, but not as Ji Young had hoped. While she wishes for genuine feelings for Jin Dan, her emotions for Pil Seung continue to grow stronger.
Do Sik notices Ji Young and Jin Dan together and finds it strange that she is dating him. Bluntly, Do Sik asks Ji Young if she has feelings for Jin Dan, and advises her not to force herself into a relationship with him if she doesn’t.
A new tenant named Sang Gu is renting one of the rooms in Pil Seung’s home. Upon meeting Pil Seung’s dad, Hyun Chul, they discover they were middle school alumni. Sang Gu is a mysterious character who is connected to others in the story, including dating Ae Gyo, who is Jin Dan’s mom.
Do Sik’s girlfriend, Myung Dong, spots Do Sik and Ji Young together and mistakenly believes they are in a relationship, accusing him of cheating on her.
Pil Seung’s new drama, invested in by GOGO Entertainment, becomes a megahit, greatly pleasing the chairmen of the APP Group. They even suggest making Pil Seung the CEO of GOGO Entertainment after his drama significantly boosts the company’s stocks and reputation.
Jin Taek asks Pil Seung to become the CEO of GOGO Entertainment. Initially reluctant, Pil Seung changes his mind after learning that former CEO Soo Yeon strongly recommended him for the role. He gladly accepts this significant offer, with full support from the rest of his family.

Jin Dan is furious upon hearing the ludicrous news about Pil Seung becoming the CEO of one of the subsidiaries of the APP Group. Ae Gyo and Jin Taek’s aunt quickly move to pressure Jin Taek into adopting Jin Dan as his son.

Sang Gu, who is currently dating Ae Gyo, always has an unresolved feeling in the back of his mind. Upon seeing Jin Dan on a magazine cover, he becomes convinced that Jin Dan bears a striking resemblance to Sang Gu’s father. Carefully, Sang Gu asks Ae Gyo if Jin Dan could potentially be his son. Coincidentally, Jin Dan overhears their conversation and is utterly shocked.
Meanwhile, Ji Young begins to slowly regain her past memories, recalling everything she experienced while living as Do Ra. Particularly, memories of the relationship between Jin Dan and Pil Seung come flooding back so vividly that she feels deeply remorseful for what she put Pil Seung through as Ji Young.
