“Beauty and Mr. Romantic" Episodes 49 & 50 Recap

Gong Jin Dan, after causing Do Ra’s paralysis, is now on the run. His reckless actions have left a trail of chaos, and he faces increasing pressure as Pil Seung vows to take revenge.
Pil Seung, fueled by anger and desperation, lures Jin Dan with financial bait. When they finally confront each other, Pil Seung seizes the moment and attacks Jin Dan, resulting in his arrest and subsequent imprisonment.
Meanwhile, the APP Group, associated with Jin Dan, is spiraling into crisis. With the truth of Jin Dan’s misdeeds exposed, the company faces significant backlash. Jin Taek dedicates his time to salvage the situation, publicly clarifying that Jin Dan is not his biological brother and promising to make amends for the harm done to Do Ra.

Pil Seung rushes to share the news of Jin Dan’s arrest with Do Ra. Although she appears joyful at the news, she struggles internally with the pain of her condition, feeling trapped in her circumstances. When Pil Seung returns with food, he finds Do Ra missing. He discovers her outside, attempting to escape in her wheelchair. After a tense moment, he calms her down, but Do Ra insists he leave her alone, afraid to reveal the extent of her despair over her permanent paralysis. Pil Seung reassures her that his love will never waver, promising to support her no matter what.

Desperate to hide from Pil Seung, Do Ra turns to Mi Ja, despite her previous disdain for her. In a twist of fate, Sun Young and Soo Yeon pay Mi Ja to keep Do Ra away from Pil Seung. Mi Ja takes Do Ra to a remote location. Do Ra leaves a simple note, asking her brothers to care for their grandmother.
Mi Ja brings Do Ra to a hidden gambling den, where she becomes engrossed in the games. She leaves Do Ra in a separate area while she plays, losing track of time. Meanwhile, Pil Seung and the brothers frantically search for Do Ra and eventually trace her to the gambling spot. Mi Ja is shocked to realize how much time has passed while she was gambling.
Pil Seung commits to helping Do Ra with her rehabilitation, promising to let her go once she can walk again. As Do Ra struggles with her recovery, she fights hard to regain her independence, but her legs do not cooperate.
During rehabilitation sessions, someone captures their journey on video, which quickly goes viral. The heartfelt footage resonates with audiences globally, rallying support for Do Ra and her desire to walk again. As her strength grows, Do Ra reaches a point where she can stand, and she and Pil Seung work diligently each day to improve.

After learning about Do Ra’s progress, Sun Young and Soo Yeon feel deep remorse for their past actions. They visit Do Ra to apologize for their selfish behavior, genuinely wishing for her and Pil Seung’s happiness. Do Ra finds relief in their apologies, which were a significant factor in her attempts to push Pil Seung away. She finally confesses her love for him, acknowledging her previous harsh words.

Do Jun achieves a significant milestone by winning a grand award for his architecture project, enabling him to return to his university in the U.S. Ma Ri, eager to stay by his side, asks Jin Taek for permission to study abroad with him. After initial hesitation, Jin Taek agrees when Do Jun presents a reasonable proposal.
Meanwhile, Mi Ja is left with nothing and continues to seek ways to gain money. Upon discovering Do Jun’s engagement to Ma Ri, she boldly approaches Jin Taek, demanding compensation. She argues that Ma Ri’s health issues will burden Do Jun indefinitely, but Jin Taek resolutely refuses her demands.
With Do Ra now able to walk, she and Pil Seung face a period of smooth sailing. Do Ra celebrates her success by winning the Best Actress award for her role in the drama where she debuted as the lead and also plans to be the cast in a second season.

Having known each other since childhood, Do Ra and Pil Seung’s relationship flourishes despite numerous challenges. They reaffirm their commitment to one another and ultimately live happily ever after, welcoming beautiful twins into their lives.
