Yesterday, on February 9, was a day that Bong Joon-Ho made history. “Parasite” rapidly gained its popularity and won many film awards leading its way to one of the biggest one of the most prestigious awards shows, the Oscars 2020.
It was a big night not just for the Americans but for all the other International movie fans because of South Korean movie, “Parasite” and the director Bong Joon-Ho was nominee for 6 Oscars Awards (Best Picture, Writing, Directing, Film Editing, International Feature Film, Production Design). And out of these 6, “Parasite” and Bong Joon-Ho won 4 Awards ( Best Picture, Writing, Directing, International Feature Film) making a history.
The category has a new name now from “Best Foreign Language” to “Best International Feature Film”, I am so happy to be its first recepient under the new name

Despite the fact that there were many opposing views on South Korean movie being nominated and winning the Oscars 2020, “Parasite” won the grand prize of Best Picture, becoming the first non-English language film. It was the first movie from South Korea to be nominated and to win the Oscars.
