If you are looking for a new drama to get addicted to, this could be a good one! The newly released 10-episode drama “XX” is also EXID Hani’s first lead role after beginning her career as an actress!

Here are the main characters of “XX“!

Yoon Na-Na (Played by Hani/Ahn Hee-Yeon)

Popular head bartender who works at a Speakeasy (an establishment that sells alcoholic beverages), named XX. Her nickname is Nana.

She might only be a head bartender, but she practically makes decisions for the interior design of it, the menu, and just about everything. Na-Na’s goal was to save enough money to take over XX, but the owner sold it off urgently without letting her know beforehand.

What’s worse? The new owner is Lee Roo-Mi. She used to be her best friend 5 years ago–to be more specific, she was that best friend who betrayed her.

Lee Roo-Mi owns Number A, a bar that is ranked No. 1 among the rest. She doesn’t know much about alcohol, but she does know how to manage a business well. She bought XX in an attempt to make it her second brand, but there is another reason that made her do it–Yoon Na-Na.

Since Roo-Mi was a child, she lacked affection from her father who was always busy with work. And because of that, the confident businesswoman turns into a girl with low self-esteem whenever it comes to dating men. Men who had dated Roo-Mi complained about her being overly clingy, or that she is a turnoff.

But Roo-Mi has a bigger problem than these.

5 years ago, because of a mistake she made, Roo-Mi had lost her best friend Yoon Na-Na. When Roo-Mi first bought XX, she thought she might be able to reconcile with Na-Na but Na-Na is hostile towards her.

Park Dan-Hee (Played by Bae In-Hyuk)

Bartender of XX. His nickname is Danny.

2 years ago, Park Dan-Hee began by working part-time at XX, and is currently a full-time staff since a year ago. Danny fell for Na-Na the moment he saw her when he came as a customer 3 years ago. It was love at first sight and he decided to approach Na-Na, only to find out that Na-Na is not interested in dating.

“XX” thrives on past relationships, the exes–ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends, and ex-besties, are all coming together again after years.

There’s something about main characters’ past relationships with the other characters, they each have one incident from the past that is making a significant impact on their present lives.

Na-Na is that do-whatever-she-wants girl even if it might affect her beloved bar negatively. Her actions are heavily influenced by the past–she voluntarily takes revenge on the cheaters she meets without thinking far. That is all because her ex-boyfriend, Seo Tae-Hyun (Played by Shin Jae-Hwi) had cheated on her with her best friend Roo-Mi years ago.

Both girls are thought to have moved on with their lives pretty well and that guy who’s responsible for causing a rift between the besties is long gone from their lives. But even so, he has still been haunting them like a ghost for the past 5 years. Most of the thoughts and decisions that the ladies make are somehow linking back to that awful memory with him. The two girls do that unconsciously, and are constantly accusing each other of doing so.

Aside from them, the two male leads also seem to be hiding something from the past that hasn’t been revealed yet.
