OMG! Now everyone knows about Soo Jae and Yu Na’s ‘fake wedding’! (Sorry for the spoiler) I mean, I knew things would turn out this way but not this fast! Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 23 and 24 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 23 & 24 Recap:
- Yoon Jae Gets Hurt!
Yoon Jae and Hae Joon slowly became intimate while they were both in Hae Joon’s place. Before they head to bed, Yoon Jae picks Hae Joon up to set fire to their intimacy but ends up dropping her and getting his back hurt. LOL
- Mi Rae Catches Cold
Mi Rae came home late taking care of Hyun Jae. Soo Jung was really worried that her daughter wasn’t coming until so late at night but was relieved after Mi Rae came home. The next day, Mi Rae seems to have a minor cough. In Korea, there is a saying when someone transfers a cold to another then the person who initially had cold recovers. In this case, Hyun Jae becomes healthy as ever the next day, while Mi Rae catches a cold. (As a viewer, we can assume that she might have kissed Hyun Jae while he was asleep and got cold from him! But she denies this in the eipsode)
- Double Date is On!
Hyun Jae’s couple and Yoon Jae’s couple goes on a double date. They go to a beautiful campsite where they cook barbecue and enjoy each others’ company. When there is a beautiful sun set in the background, Hyun Jae and Mi Rae share a passionate kiss. It’s their first official kiss! The couple separates and all go home except Hae Joon and Yoon Jae go back to Hae Joon’s place and finish where they left off the night before *wink *wink
- Yu Na Decided to Tell the Truth
Kyung Ae prepares the house that Yu Na and Soo Jae will live in once they get married. However, Yu Na has had enough of feeling guilty about this whole ‘fake wedding’, especially now that Soo Jae was scammed by his best friend and things start to fall apart. Yu Na kneels down and finally confesses that this whole wedding thing was a lie and that she is truly sorry. However, Soo Jung didn’t believe it at first but when Yu Na tells her in detail that she was supposed to get money out of this ‘fake marriage’ and that Soo Jae was supposed to take over a fitness center. Soo Jung is furious and is lost for words.
- Soo Jae is Having Bad Thoughts
Now that Soo Jae knows Yu Na told everything to Kyung Ae, he feels super guilty and cannot go home. Kyung Ae is desperately waiting for her son to come home so she can at least hear some explanation to his actions. However, he doesn’t answer her calls. Soo Jae then visits Hyun Jae’s place, drunk. Kyung Ae not knowing where Soo Jae went, she couldn’t hold back this secret and let it all out to Kyung Chul and Min Ho.
- Kyung Ae Can’t Take it Anymore
She cannot wait for Soo Jae’s return call so she decided to go and find him herself. Kyung Chul follows her and tries to search for Soo Jae together. Soo Jae is clueless about what is going to happen and eats ramen alone in Hyun Jae’s place. Then suddenly, the front door unlocks where Soo Jae encounters Kyung Ae and Kyung Chul. Kyung Ae shows vast disappointment to Soo Jae.
- Soo Jae Explains Why
Kyung Chul, Min Ho, Kyung Ae all gathered to listen to what Soo Jae has to say about this big façade that he and Yu Na have put on for a long time. Soo Jae kneels down and tells them that after continuously failing the exams for being a government official, he wanted to do something that he really likes and succeed in it. But in order to do that, he needed money and he believed that if he asks for money to open a fitness center then no one will help and this was the only way to get the money. Soo Jae defends Yu Na that she was only involved because he begged her to.
- Hyun Jae Finds Out
When Hyun Jae came to work, his cousin told him that the family was worried that Yoon Jae never came home. Hyun Jae finds this odd because Hae Joon and Yoon Jae left pretty early the night before they had the double date together. Hyun Jae bluntly asks Hae Joon if she knows where Yoon Jae is but she denies that he was with her last night (LOL)
- Hyun Chul Takes Back Everything
Hyun Chul summons everyone and takes back what he has first started with the marriage project. The family blames themselves for initiating this marriage project from the beginning that led to Soo Jae’s wrongdoing.
- Soo Jae Breaks Up with Yu Na
Soo Jae asks Yu Na to meet because he wanted to tell her something. Soo Jae talks about their memories in the first packing job that they had together and when he suggested being part of the fake marriage to where they are now. Soo Jae tells Yu Na that he liked her all along but when she strongly stood by his side when bad things all happened, he realizes that he actually loves her. But he tells her he cannot get her involved in situations like these anymore and that he wants to break up with her. They both sob in tears.. 🙁
