The last scene of episode 26 was just way too sad to watch without tearing up! Was it just me??!? These poor little love birds are in the process of breaking up, and it’s neither of their faults!! Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 25 and 26 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 25 & 26 Recap:
- Mi Rae Introduce Hyun Jae
Mi Rae finally introduced Hyun Jae to Soo Jung. However, things don’t go as Mi Rae planned. The conversation her mom and Hyun Jae shared was rather more stiff than casual and the questions asked by her mom were rather uncomfortable. When Soo Jung leaves just having one cup of tea, Mi Rae decides to stay longer with Hyun Jae for dinner. When Mi Rae comes home afterwards, she confronts Soo Jung about how her behavior was inappropriate and impolite towards Hyun Jae. Soo Jung is frustrated by this and explains how she just was trying to get to know him without any emotions attached.
- Hye Young Takes Kyung Ae Out
Knowing that Kyung Ae is distressed about Soo Jae’s deceiving everyone in the family, Hye Young takes her out to an arcade to console her. Then they go to a pub for a drink and even though Kyung Ae is still very enraged towards Soo Jae but is also guilty about angrily throwing his ramyeon in the trash while he was still eating it. Kyung Ae decides to meet Soo Jae and tells everything.
- Yoon Jae Visits Hae Joon’s Office
Yoon Jae buys take-out food and visits Hae Joon’s office to eat dinner together. It was his first time ever to visit the office and he is in awe. The office looks super clean and well-organized unlike Hae Joon’s actual personality. Hae Joon gives a brief office tour and Yoon Jae falls in love one more time. He then asks Hae Joon if she is willing to meet his grandfather and she gladly accepts this date.
- Hae Joon Finally Meets Yoon Jae’s Grandfather!
Hae Joon cannot hide her excitement and nervousness, she dresses up in a very pretty pink dress and is ready to go. The three have a really good time except for the fact that Hae Joon is immensely nervous and ends up spilling water everywhere.
- Kyung Ae Meets Yu Na
Kyung Ae decides to meet Yu Na and tells her how disappointed she was after knowing everything was a lie. After all the times they went to see the apartment and the wedding dresses, Kyung Ae is really hurt. Kyung Ae tells her to not meet Soo Jae anymore. Yu Na cannot hold back her tears
- Soo Jae Confesses
Soo Jae confesses to his two older brothers that the reason he has to do such a thing is because he has nothing. Unlike the successful, prominent lawyer and doctor Hyun Jae and Yoon Jae, Soo Jae was always the one who was falling behind. He expresses that the apartment should really go to someone who is in need, not to someone who is already professionally successful. Soo Jae storms out and walks along the Han River and he calls the suicid callback service that was stationed along the bridge… Then the police grab him and tell him not to make any dangerous decision. Soo Jae ends up in the police station…
- Soo Jae Was Mistaken
Even though, Soo Jae wasn’t really going to commit suicide, because he called from the SOS phone booth, he was mistaken to be suicidal. His parents and brothers came to the police station to pick Soo Jae up where they naturally all made amends.
- What Will Happen to Yu Na and Soo Jae?
After Yu Na met Kyung Ae, she had lots in her mind. When Soo Jae came to visit her, Yu Na seemed a little standoffish. Soo Jae tells her that he takes back what he said about them breaking up, but she doesn’t answer him and abruptly leaves.
- Yoon Jae and Hae Joon’s Conflicted
Hae Joon tells him that one of the pros of getting married in an old age is that old people are relatively financially stable. However when hearing this, Yoon Jae cannot empathize…because all he has is debt. Even though he is still single and is successful as a dentist, due to his spending on stocks, he doesn’t have any money saved up.
- Mi Rae Takes Hyun Jae to Her Grandmother
When Mi Rae took Hyun Jae to her grandmother, Soo Jung was worried due to her mother having Alzheimer. When Mi Rae visited the nursing hospital, Mi Rae’s grandmother called Hyun Jae her husband due to her illness. She is ashamed by her embarrassing behavior and apologizes to Hyun Jae.

One of Hae Joon’s clients, who holds a grudge against her from the past, came to her office and injured Hae Joon.
Yoon Jae is super worried and rushes to the hospital.
Hyun Jae and Mi Rae are a rock to each other’s lives. When they go on a date, the assistant tells them “it is rare that siblings can be this close, you guys look alike!”
That was such a cliffhanger! I mean I might be overexaggerating but what if Min Ho and Soo Jung are long lost siblings who were separated due to both of them being adopted to a different household? I am actually fast forwarding some scenes. I was so focused on Maknae couple. They knew lying to the parents was a bad idea. But Yuna admitted it and confessed everything to Soo Jae’s mom. Now, both helpless and I feel bad for them.
You feel bad for them? This is what’s wrong with our society. The son did something autrocious. He tried to scam his own family and karma caught up to him and he got scammed himself. What he did was take his family’s trust and stomped on it. I don’t respect what he did and you want us to coddle him and feel bad for him? That’s insane, he needs to work hard to earn his forgiveness, which he hasn’t done anything for that yet. In this drama, Soo Jae and Yu Na have been the most annoying couple. Glad they broke them up but the writer will get them back together in the end, which from my persona opinion teaches us nothing about making mistake and taking responsibility for it.
Of course! I feel bad for them.. They have the childish thoughts. Especially the younger son. He’s been spoiled all his life.. his mother cannot even punish them. At least, it’s a lesson learned from both of them.
What’s the lesson learned if there are no consequences for their scummy actions?
Have you not followed the storyline when you write the recaps? Mi Rae’s mom is adopted because Hyun Jae’s grandfather is her father and left her at the orphanage. Huyn Jae’s dad was adopted cause his dad died and he already went to his dad’s grave. Your theory is out of this world ridiculous.
