Episode 31 & 32 Recap: Stream K-Drama “It’s Beautiful Now” with English Subtitles

It seems like all of the couples are ready for the next big step! Yoon Jae’s family is meeting all of Hae Joon’s family, and Hyun Jae is planning on gathering everyone on both sides of the family with Mi Rae!

Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 31 and 32 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.

“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 31 & 32 Recap:

• Soo Jung’s Big Revelation

Soo Jung finally tells the truth about her family. She had to keep it secret that she was an adopted child of an elite family because her mother-in-law was obsessed with the family heritage. And Soo Jung was so sure that her mother-in-law would treat her with disdain once she found out that Soo Jung is not blood-related to an educated, elite family. After Jin Ju constantly beguiled Soo Jung to tell the truth, Soo Jung tells everyone that she is an adopted child. Her mother-in-law is in shock; after all these years, she was deceived. Jin Ju thinks that Soo Jung lied to the family to receive more inheritance money. Mi Rae and Jung Hoo later find out about this, too, and they are worried about their mother.

• Soo Jung Explains Why

Soo Jung talks to Mi Rae and Jung Hoo about what had happened. She tells them she was never embarrassed about her being an adopted child, but when she was getting married, her soon-to-be husband and her mother wanted her to hide the fact that she was an adoptee because, in Korea, this is not entirely a good thing. Soo Jung then explains to Mi Rae why she couldn’t be super happy when she heard that Mi Rae was dating Hyun Jae, who is also a child of an adoptee (Min Ho). When Soo Jung heard about this, she was ashamed that she had to hide behind the truth, unlike Min Ho.

• Yu Na Decides to Quit

Since Yu Na has passed the baking exam, she is now planning on working at her friend’s bakery. She decides to quit her current job at Bong Food. Jung Hoo first doesn’t let her go but tells her that he wants to talk to her longer due to the bad events that had happened to his family recently.

• Yoon Jae Plans a Wedding

Yoon Jae and Hae Joon are planning a wedding! Before they go further, they plan a dinner so all their family members can meet. Yoon Jae also is planning a wedding with Mi Rae. However, Mi Rae seems to have her mind elsewhere, due to the recent events that happened to her mother, Soo Jung. Mi Rae tries her best to be there for her mother and support her in every way. Soo Jung sincerely apologizes to her mother-in-law for lying to her for 30 years. However, her mother-in-law still cannot get over this; Soo Jung tells her that she will wait until she is ready to forgive her. 

• Yoon Jae’s Family Meet Hae Joon’s Family

Everyone is gathered up to have a last final meeting before the marriage. When everyone was together for the family meeting, there was one person missing, Yoon Jae! Yoon Jae was super nervous that he was getting his things together in the bathroom. When he finally arrived to greet the other family, his suit was accidently caught on the door, causing his suit and shirt to tear apart!! LOL!!! What an entrance!

• Kyung Ae is Unhappy

When Kyung Ae and the rest of the family met with Hae Joon’s family, she wasn’t happy about how things went. Since Yoon Jae will be living at Hae Joon’s place after their marriage, Hae Joon’s brother was being a bit condescending about how his sister is helping out everything that involves financially. Kyung Ae did not take this well at all. After Yoon Jae and Hae Joon come back to Hae Joon’s place, Hae Joon discreetly asks Yoon Jae if Kyung Ae doesn’t like her. They get into a small fight over this.

• Mi Rae Tells Hyun Jae About Soo Jung.

When Hyun Jae visited the hospital where Mi Rae’ grandmother is staying, the grandmother mistook Hyun Jae as her son-in-law and asked him how much he loves her daughter, Soo Jung. Hyun Jae answers tactfully and tells her that he will protect her in every way whenever she is in need. Mi Rae’s parents, listening to his answer, seemed like they were very touched. Afterwards, Mi Rae sits Hyun Jae down and tells him about the secret of her mother, Soo Jung, and how she kept her identity as an adoptee all these years.

• Kyung Ae is Disappointed

When Yoon Jae came home, Kyung Ae confronted him about the family dinner and about how she was very embarrassed that Hae Joon’s brother was somewhat belittling the family since Yoon Jae doesn’t have a house or a car of his own at that age. They get into an argument and Kyung Chul stops them right there. He takes Yoon Jae to his room, hands him his bank passbook, and tells Yoon Jae that he has been saving money all along to help Yoon Jae financially when he gets married.

• Soo Jae’s Talk with Min Ho

Soo Jae works super hard and takes any jobs possible to regain the money he lost from his best friend. Soo Jae realizes the cleaning job was a perfect job for him and tells Min Ho that he wants to solidify his career path to become a cleaner. Soo Jae was a part-time cleaner, but now wants to become a full-time cleaner. Min Ho accepts his son as who he is and Soo Jae thanks him for that.
