“Our Golden Days” Episodes 35 & 36 Recap:
- Eun Oh finds Woo Jin unconscious, and for a moment, it feels like history is repeating itself. Thankfully, he survives. She can’t shake the weight of the fact that Woo Jin is her twin brother. This is the same Woo Jin who once stood by her when she was drowning in grief after her father passed. So when the chance comes to save him, she chooses to donate her liver not as his twin, but as the friend who owes him a kindness she never forgot.
- Meanwhile, Ji Hyuk can’t even close his eyes. The thought of Eun Oh going into surgery keeps him wide awake. He even sneaks into the hospital to get his own liver tested, hoping he can be the one on the operating table instead. Both Ji Hyuk and Seong Jae feel frustrated watching Eun Oh sacrifice again while her biological mother, Seong Hee, always seems to walk away with everything she wants. What Seong Jae doesn’t know is that Seong Hee is Eun Oh’s birth mother, and in his confusion, he asks Ji Hyuk to dig deeper into who this woman really is.
- The day of Woo Jin’s surgery arrives. Ji Hyuk rushes in to stay close, and Yeong Ra even disguises herself as a doctor just to be near him. But fate plays its cruel games. Seong Jae and Jin Seok unexpectedly show up at the hospital for Jin Seok’s severe migraine. After their checkup, they step into an elevator, right as it opens in front of Seong Hee and Jin Seok. Woo Jin steps behind her, shielding Seong Hee just in time. Jin Seok walks past without noticing a thing. Seong Hee breathes a huge sigh of relief, but doesn’t offer Yeong Ra or Woo Jin even a single word of thanks.
- That moment becomes a quiet turning point for Woo Jin and Yeong Ra. They see each other clearly for the first time, what they’ve endured, what they’ve carried alone, and their feelings deepen without either of them saying it out loud.
- But Seong Hee doesn’t budge. Instead, she takes a darker step and hires someone to harm Woo Jin. She even lets Yeong Ra find out, hoping the fear will keep her away from him for good. Horrified, Yeong Ra confronts her mother, begging her to stop. She promises she’ll do anything Seong Hee wants if she’ll just allow her to finish her webtoon and leave Woo Jin unharmed.
- Elsewhere, Da Jung and Ok Rye share a rare, warm moment. Ok Rye, now a senior model, wants to repay Da Jung for all the years of care, shelter, and love she received. She treats her to new clothes, fusses over her like a doting daughter, and even splurges on a taxi ride home. But on their way back, everything shatters. Their taxi is involved in a sudden accident. Ji Hyuk and Sang Cheol race to the hospital, only to hear the devastating announcement: Da Jung has passed.
