- All jaws drop when Ji Hyuk announces his sudden marriage plans—especially his father, who is left torn. He had long wished for Ji Hyuk to settle down, but faced with reality happening this fast, he struggles to accept it.
- Meanwhile, Eun Oh is full of life as she takes on a massive new interior project. But her energy quickly dims when Ji Hyuk meets with his best friend Seong Jae to confirm the wedding is real. Ji Hyuk even hands out invitations, stunning his friends and colleagues—most of all Eun Oh, who was just recently rejected by him. The blow cuts deeper when she learns Ji Hyuk’s bride-to-be is the daughter of a wealthy conglomerate. Suddenly, Eun Oh realizes what Ji Hyuk meant by, “You don’t suit me well,” and sinks into despair.
- Her best friend can’t understand why she still clings to him, but Eun Oh remembers the turning point from college: seeing Ji Hyuk risk everything to protect families facing eviction in a redevelopment area. - Finally, the wedding day arrives. Guests gather, but Ji Hyuk’s world crumbles when he receives a chilling text from his bride, Bo Ah: “I’m sorry, but I have to go to him.” Realizing she will never return, Ji Hyuk walks out of the venue with Seong Jae, his heart shattered.
- He apologizes to his parents—not only for the humiliation they endured before the wedding guests, but also for the truth: he needed this marriage for money, for survival, for a future they could never understand.
