Here are the highlights of episodes 7 & 8 of “Our Golden Days” starring Jung Il Woo, Jung In Sun, and Yoon Hyun Min.
“Our Golden Days” Episodes 7 & 8 Recap:
- Everyone is worried since Ji Hyuk hasn’t come home for a long time. Bo Ah suggests he ask her father for money as compensation, but Ji Hyuk is mortified by the idea. Even though he chose to marry for money, the thought of actually receiving cash leaves him ashamed.
- Meanwhile, Ji Hyuk’s younger brother Ji Wan lands a job as Young Ra’s personal chauffeur, she happens to be Seong Jae’s younger sister. On their drives together, Ji Wan tries to strike up small talk by asking her name and age, but Young Ra brushes him off, saying she has to check with her mother before answering anything.
- Ji Hyuk takes on grueling day labor jobs but quickly realizes this isn’t the life he wants. Despite his exhaustion, he starts pouring his sleepless nights into studying interior design, something he’s truly good at.
- His father, who shares much of Ji Hyuk’s struggle, is also desperately searching for work. After sending out countless resumes without a single callback, all he hopes for is a stable job before his children get married.
- Eun Oh and Seong Hee grow closer as Eun Oh works on her project. Seong Hee seems genuinely fond of her, while Eun Oh is grateful for such a big opportunity. When Eun Oh returns to her cafe office, she gets another call from a new client. Thrilled by the momentum, she tells her colleagues to head home and rest while she closes up. But just as she’s about to lock the doors, Ji Hyuk suddenly walks in.
- The sight of him shocks Eun Oh, she had completely erased him from her life after his wedding. Ji Hyuk, acting as if nothing happened, asks if he can sleep at the cafe. Furious at his audacity, Eun Oh tells him to leave, but he insists on staying in the attic. The next morning, she finds his belongings still there, only for Ji Hyuk to stroll in with the cafe owner. To her disbelief, the owner announces that Ji Hyuk will now be renting the attic as his business office.
- Elsewhere, Ji Wan continues driving Young Ra, who keeps her cold demeanor. Annoyed, Ji Wan abruptly stops the car and steps out, which terrifies Young Ra because of her past trauma with a stalker. Realizing his mistake, Ji Wan quickly apologizes, and though shaken, the two seem to inch a little closer.
- At home, Seong Hee plays the role of the perfect wife and mother, even down to ironing her husband’s underwear and doting on Young Ra. But at work, she shows a different face, harsh and demanding, criticizing her staff over cheap perfume that offends her.
- Back at the café, Eun Oh is at her breaking point. Ji Hyuk has no problem making himself comfortable, even going so far as to install a window in his attic door to look down into the cafe. When Eun Oh confronts him, he brushes her off, saying he already got the owner’s approval. Feeling powerless, Eun Oh decides she can’t take it anymore and quits as café manager.

- Although Eun Oh wants to leave the cafe, she can’t walk away so easily; her office is there, along with multiple ongoing projects. She makes a deal with Ji Hyuk: promise not to speak to her and pretend they don’t know each other. To her relief, he agrees.
