- Ju Ah finds herself suspended after the fraudulent footage of her goes public. What started as Se Ri’s attempt to lightly provoke Ju Ah and her family quickly spirals into something far more serious. The situation escalates even further because of Ju Ah’s past mistake during a live commercial, making this her second major controversy tied to the company. With her reputation on the line, there’s real concern that this time, she could be fired for good.
- Fortunately, Se Ri steps forward and clarifies the truth. She testifies that the footage was manipulated with ill intent and that Ju Ah had actually been trying to protect her, not harm her. Thanks to her statement, Ju Ah narrowly avoids being dismissed.
- Meanwhile, after Dong Ik and Se Ri help clear Ju Ah’s name, Jeong Han agrees to appear in the documentary Dong Ik has been so desperate to produce. Dong Ik can hardly contain his excitement. In a surprising turn, the long-standing tension between the two seems to melt away. As if their history of rivalry never existed, they grow unexpectedly close, spending long nights together over food and drinks.
- As Sun Hae’s birthday approaches, she invites Dong Ik’s entire family to celebrate at her home, extending an olive branch after years of complicated history. Setting aside lingering resentment, the families come together to celebrate. In a rare moment of unity, they agree to move forward with a more cordial relationship, choosing to leave behind the painful past of betrayal and elopement.
- Elsewhere, Se Ri grows increasingly anxious about Hyun Bin’s future. Although he has made it clear he plans to leave Korea after a year, she desperately wants him to stay. In search of answers, she visits a fortune teller, who tells her that the only thing that could keep him in Korea is love. Just as she’s about to leave, the fortune teller delivers a chilling warning: her past sin of abandoning her own child will never truly disappear. Shaken, Se Ri rushes out. Still unsettled in the parking lot, she nearly gets into an accident with a student riding a bicycle.
