Q. What do you do in your free time?

A. I like to play guitar. Of course, I’m not as good as an expert, but I’m just playing to the point where I’m having fun. 😊 I play the songs that I like with my own guitar and that’s how I relieve my stress.

Q. Which Korean dramas or entertainment programs do you enjoy watching?

I enjoy watching reality programs that deal with mysterious cases. It’s not a program with entertaining elements, but I enjoy watching it whenever I have time because I can learn about current social issues and behind-the-scenes stories that I didn’t know about.

Q. Is there a role you want to play in the future?

I’ve been thinking about this question for a long time because there are so many roles I want to play. I haven’t done a lot of dramas yet, so I think it’ll be fun and exciting no matter what role I play. So rather than saying I want to play a particular role, I want to be able to play various characters in different dramas.

Q: Do you want to say anything to our overseas KOCOWA viewers?

I’m not a well-known actor who’s done a lot of dramas, so you might not know a whole lot about me yet. I hope you’ll be glad to see me in a drama after this interview. That’s why I’m so grateful and happy to be able to greet our overseas viewers through this opportunity. Please look forward to my future work and root for me!

Q. You debuted in live theater in 2008 and transitioned to television. How do K-dramas differ from live theater?

I don’t think there’s much difference in acting. There is a difference between the environment and the way I work, so it was unfamiliar and difficult for me at first, but now I’m adjusting to it by meeting fellow actors and learning all the time. It feels different, but also very attractive and fun.

Q. What was the hardest filming day at “Police University?”

I went to a convenience store while I was waiting for my scene to shoot. The people who were eating something at the store were surprised to see me. I think they misunderstood me as a real police officer because my outfit was a police uniform. It was my first time wearing a police uniform, so it was  fascinating and exciting.

Q. What are some of the pros and cons of your character Baek Hee in “Police University?”

When I look at Baek Hee, I think she’s a very self-conscious character. That’s why she wants to look perfect, and she’s sensitive about other people’s disruption, and she’s trying to set her own strict standards. I think this type of character would make it a little difficult for people around. But on the contrary, I think that’s why Baek Hee is a necessary person for the Police University. She’s the best person to keep students in order. So, I think her weakness is transformed into a strength at the Police University.

Q. How was the overall atmosphere with other actors like Krystal, Jinyoung, and Cha Tae Hyun on set?

A. Not only the staff, but also the actors were very warm and affectionate. Also, if there was a new attempt or interpretation in terms of acting, everyone was there to help and discuss with me.. Of course, the character I play doesn’t interact with too many actors because of her personality, but I had  great chemistry during the scenes. Everyone was so cheerful and considerate that I laughed a lot.
