  • Chun Soo is devastated when he finds out his wife has been having an affair for three years while living abroad, leaving him behind in Korea. He feels completely betrayed, like his entire world has just collapsed.
  • Heung Soo stops by a jewelry store to pick out a ring for his girlfriend. Ok Boon, who sees this, hires a private detective to dig up information on the woman. She already knows that Heung Soo’s girlfriend was once married and has a daughter, yet still pretends to be this sweet, innocent woman to win his heart. Ok Boon, who secretly has feelings for Heung Soo, can’t take it anymore.
  • Despite feeling shattered, Chun Soo finds some comfort in an old friend who works at the convenience store near his place. The friend quietly supports him whenever he’s feeling lost.
  • To grow the business, Eagle Brewery Beta launches a high-end makgeolli that rivals anything served at luxury hotels. LX Hotel places an order for an upcoming festival, and because it’s such a major event, Dong Seok feels pressure to choose the perfect drinks to serve.
  • Se Ri, worried after hearing Ha Ni was rushed to the hospital, asks Beom Soo for an update. He shows her a video of Ha Ni doing just fine. Touched, Se Ri asks him to send her the clip so she can watch it whenever she misses her. Beom Soo gladly sends it over.
  • Dong Seok, still convinced Kwang Sook is a gold digger, sees her in an elevator chatting with a middle-aged man. He totally misreads the situation. The man is actually her former boss, someone she deeply trusted in the past. But Dong Seok, stuck on his assumptions, twists their conversation and her actions into something promiscuous.
  • Ok Boon meets with Kwang Sook and tries to convince her to stop Heung Soo from proposing to his mysterious girlfriend. At that exact moment, Ok Boon gets a photo from her private investigator—it’s a shot of the girlfriend with a clearly pregnant belly, proof of her hidden past.
  • Kwang Sook ends up visiting her ex-husband’s sanctuary and unexpectedly runs into Dong Seok again. He tries to avoid her, but she calls him out. Taking the chance, Dong Seok tells her to carry herself with more dignity as the supplier of his hotel. Offended, Kwang Sook demands to know what he’s implying. He claims he’s seen her around the hotel too often, and he even saw her enter a room with a man just yesterday. Kwang Sook laughs and reveals that the man was her old boss. She clears her name but is furious that someone has been out there trying to smear her reputation.
  • Despite Kwang Sook pushing him away, Sang Nam doesn’t give up. No matter how cold or blunt she is, he’s determined to win her over. Ju Sil even cheers him on, hoping he’ll succeed.
  • After realizing how badly he misjudged Kwang Sook, Dong Seok starts to feel guilty and uncomfortable.
  • Ok Boon finally receives solid proof from her detective—Heung Soo’s girlfriend has a 10-year-old daughter, and her ex-husband was involved in a gang. She rushes to tell Heung Soo, but when she sees how happy he is with her, she stops in her tracks.
  • Go Tak’s liquor brand doesn’t get selected for the LX Hotel festival. Instead, Kwang Sook’s Eagle Brewery wins the deal. She’s over the moon. Go Tak is furious.
  • While Se Ri is getting her hair done, she spots Beom Soo’s ex-wife—the woman who walked out on both him and baby Ha Ni. Acting out of spite, Se Ri secretly sticks gum in her hair, leaving the woman with a major mess to deal with.
  • Crushed by the affair and his wife’s request for a divorce, Chun Soo falls into a deep depression. Feeling like there’s nothing left to live for, he tragically takes his own life.
