One of the biggest and most talked about stories this year was probably Chen getting married, a main vocal from one of the legendary K-Pop groups, EXO.
After shocking the news about his sudden marriage with his 7-months pregnant girlfriend on January 13, 2020, Chen recently posted a hand written letter on fan community (Lyson) with his enlistment date.
“Hello, I’m Chen.
Are you doing well these days when there is a big daily temperature gap?
The hot weather has passed and it’s already autumn.
The reason why I’m writing today is because I wanted to tell you about my enlistment on October 26th. I’ll do my best to show you my better self during my service, so I hope you stay as beautiful and dignified as you are now! I always thank you and love you.”
It probably was one of the best year for Chen since he began 2020 with him being a father, a husband, and leaving his fandom, EXO-Ls, after he confirmed his military enlistment. Chen is now the fourth member from EXO who has officially announced military enlistment.

In this classic episode, Chen talks about how impressed he was with SEVENTEEN Seungkwan doing a parody of the ‘Wi-Fi’ song, and complemented how funny and talented he was.

Hey…it’s disrespectful to write as bad year for him just because he became a dad or husband…he loves her and that’s the reason he married her and that’s reasons for his happiness…and leaving fandom….don’t think so……that’s a duty of honour for Chen to serve for his country….!!!!!
