Lee Min-Ho is finally coming back in a drama with Kim Go-Eun, Woo Do-Hwan, and Jung Eun-Chae, written by scriptwriter Kim Eun-Sook. If you are a huge fan of Lee Min-Ho, it’s going to be a painful wait till April. BUT, while waiting, why don’t we go over Lee Min-Ho’s and other casts’ previous works?

Lee Min-Ho

Notable dramas: Boys Over Flowers, City Hunter, The Heirs, Legend of the Blue Sea.

The actor made his official debut with “Secret Campus” back in 2003. His breakthrough drama was the same one that made huge contributions to the Korean Wave–“Boys Over Flowers” where he starred alongside Koo Hye-Sun.

Garnering attention worldwide, Lee Min-Ho went on to star in a romantic comedy “Personal Taste” where he played an ambitious architect, and historical drama “The Great Doctor” with Actress Kim Hee-Sun, as the king’s bodyguard.

4 years after “Boys Over Flowers,” Lee Min-Ho starred in another teen drama titled “The Heirs” written by Kim Eun-Sook. The drama was a great success, reaching 25.6% for its last episode. With that, the actor’s popularity increased tremendously locally and internationally after the drama.

In 2016, the actor took the lead role in “Legend of the Blue Sea,” where he played a successful conman who falls in love with a mermaid (played by Jun Ji-Hyun) with supernatural powers.

Kim Go-Eun

Notable dramas: Cheese in the Trap, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.

At 21, Kim Go-Eun made her debut with the film “A Muse.” Without any previous acting experience except school productions or plays, the actress was awarded the female lead role through auditions. Her performance received acclamation and was awarded several Best New Actress awards for that.

She spent the next 2 years completing her degree and came back to the big screen with “Coin Locker Girl” in 2015, starring alongside Kim Hye-Soo, Um Tae-Goo, and Park Bo-Gum.

In 2016, the actress took up 2 lead roles. She played college student Hong Seol in “Cheese in the Trap” and Ji Eun-Tak in “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” a fantasy drama written by Kim Eun-Sook.

Together with Lee Min-Ho, the upcoming drama “The King: Eternal Monarch” marks Kim Go-Eun‘s second collaboration with scriptwriter Kim Eun-Sook!

Woo Do-Hwan

Notable dramas: Save Me, MAD DOG.

The actor was first made known to the public after he was nominated for Best New Actor for his role as a “man with a backward baseball cap” in the film “Master” in 2016.

2017 was his year. Woo Do-Hwan rose to stardom after playing Suk Dong-Cheol in “Save Me.” He received further recognition through his role in “MAD DOG.”

In 2018, he starred in the drama “Tempted” and even though the drama received criticisms overall, the actor won Excellence Award for his role in the drama.

Jung Eun-Chae

Notable dramas: Return, The Guest.

Jung Eun-Chae was born in Busan, but she moved to London while she was attending middle school and lived there for 8 years.

After returning to Korea, the actress made her name through several blockbuster films such as “Nobody’s Daughter Haewon” and “Hill of Freedom” in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Her role in the film “Nobody’s Daughter Haewon” had also earned her several Best New Actress awards.

2018 was a big year for Jung Eun-Chae, she starred in two hit dramas, “Return” where she played a housewife and she played a female detective in “The Guest.”
