“Iron Family” Episodes 13 & 14 Recap:

• Ji Yeon is shocked to discover that her stolen money, marked with “AA,” originated from Bong Hee. Gang Ju, however, dismisses her concerns, arguing that “AA” money could be from anywhere and that she shouldn’t jump to conclusions.

• Da Rim asks Gang Ju to help her learn to drive, a skill she needs for her new job. To prepare, she visited the company the night before to study the manuals.

• Tae Woong, a close family friend who worked at Da Rim’s dry cleaner for a long time, discreetly gifts Mu Rim $30,000 in cash at her wedding as a token of gratitude. Bong Hee launders a total of $150,000 and gives it to Mu Rim, who has supported the family for years. Though reluctant at first, Mu Rim accepts the money, intending to use it to pay off Da Rim’s debt to Seung Don, who had lent her money for eye surgery. (In reality, he didn’t) After the wedding, Mu Rim brings Seung Don the $150,000 in cash, unaware that every bill is marked with “AA.”
• Tae Seung visits Seung Don’s company, requesting Da Rim’s hiring be canceled because he doesn’t want her working under such a cold-hearted man. Gang Ju scoffs, asserting Da Rim can manage without Tae Woong’s interference. Tae Woong retaliates by calling out Gang Ju’s past cowardice for abandoning Da Rim and taunts him, implying he’s just a wealthy kid with no real direction.

• Gang Ju wrongly assumes Da Rim has spread rumors about their night together, but Da Rim assures him she hasn’t told anyone. Relieved, Gang Ju finds his feelings for her growing stronger. Da Rim later confronts both Cha Rim and Tae Woong, with Gang Ju present, demanding Tae Woong stay out of her career. She also makes it clear to Gang Ju that he should keep their relationship professional at work.

• Gang Ju warns his mother, Ji Yeon, to stay out of trouble and stop associating with dangerous people in her search for the lost money. During this, he hears about the $150,000 his father received. When he checks the bills, he’s stunned to find all marked with “AA.”
• Tae Woong gets a call that his biological mother is terminally ill. Despite his deep resentment, he’s shaken and decides to find her. Worried, Bong Hee cleans his room and discovers a DNA test result, which reveals that Seung Don is Tae Woong’s biological father, sparking her fury.

• Ji Yeon also learns about Seung Don’s hidden son.
