The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is about to drop anytime on Netflix (seriously any time… Netflix, when is it dropping?!), which means “Stranger Things” fever is about to ignite, and boy, are we ready.

“Stranger Things” season 4 is rumored to be heavy on the supernatural, yet we are sure it will still have horror campy enough to scream, squeam, and meme to your heart’s desire. (You know the kind, it’s scary enough to be scary but funny enough to be funny, so you can still fall asleep at night… bonus!

“The Item”

Similarities: Horror, Alternate Worlds, Supernatural Abilities

In “The Item,” a mysterious fire leaves 12 items with unexplained supernatural powers. Only a few people know these items exist and are on a hunt to find them. However, no one wants to find the items more than a prosecutor whose niece gets trapped in an alternate world, and it is up to him to save her.

Mixing the supernatural with mystery and horror, “The Item” is the closest drama on this list to catch the genre-blending nature of “Stranger Things.” Compelling, mysterious, and creepy, you can bet this K-drama will keep your eyes glued to the TV. Get your popcorn ready!

“Extra-Ordinary You”

Similarities: Banter, Age Group, Mystery, Campiness

The one thing that “Item” lacks as a satisfying “Stranger Thing” clone is the age of the characters. But you don’t have that problem with “Extra-Ordinary You,” which gets the ball rolling with a fantastical mystery and possible impending death of basically everyone involved.

Set in a wealthy high school, “Extra-Ordinary You” blips through a mystery as you struggle to find out just what exactly is going on in the life of a high school girl. There are no horror elements, but the suspense is right there, and so is the fantastical. I just can’t tell you what the fantastical is because I don’t want to ruin the surprise! Watch if you like solving the mystery right along with the characters.

“Master’s Sun”

Similarities: Horror, Campiness, Supernatural Abilities

Okay, I can hear you screaming at your screen, “But, what I love about “Stranger Things” is the campy horror!” All right, well, if you love campy horror, then you must check out “Master’s Sun.” Created by the hit writing duo, The Hong Sisters, “Master’s Sun” is a comedy, horror, mystery mix with fantasy. Yes, that is a lot, but they pull it off masterfully!

This K-drama follows a woman who sees ghosts and a man who does not see ghosts or believe in ghosts, for that matter. The catch is, when she touches him, she doesn’t see them either! Cue every excuse under the sun for skinship. Not only will “Master’s Sun” have you screaming with the jump scares, but it will also make you wonder just how this magical world of horror works. Fun and freaky!

“Sell Your Haunted House”

Similarities: Horror, Fantastical, Campiness

Speaking of horror and campiness, “Sell Your Haunted House” should also be on the list of shows to watch if you love “Stranger Things.” “Sell Your Haunted House” is one part horror, two parts camp, and a touch of mystery. I say a touch because they kind of tell you what is going on straight away, but the mystery is not the strength of this drama – the setting is.

Ghosts are the lead in “Sell Your Haunted House,” and finding out the powers of each ghost, along with enjoying the playful chemistry between the leads, will keep you watching to the end. Though, they do have jump scares that might make your chair tip over, so watch out for that!

“Where Stars Land”

Similarities: Superpowers, Everyday Setting

One of the things I loved about the first season of “Stranger Things” was how real it felt. Sure, it was campy and ridiculous, but it also felt like it could happen somehow. We were eased into the supernatural and learned everything that was going on in real-time, which is why “Where Stars Land” is on my list of K-dramas to watch if you loved “Stranger Things.”

Is “Where Stars Land” heavy on supernatural or not supernatural? It ties nicely into the mystery of our lead lady wondering if her coworker has superpowers or if she is just going a bit batty. In this drama, we are on the ride with her to find out what exactly is going on – and it might not be all that it seems.

“Govengers”

Similarities: Supernatural Powers, Teenage Life, Evil Being, Campiness

And now for a fun show on the list that asks more “what if.” Okay, what if all the kids of the Hawkins crew had superpowers and had to learn how to use them while still navigating life at Hawkins Jr. High? That is precisely the setup of “Govengers.”

In “Govengers,” a group of six misfit teenagers finds a mysterious phone at school one day. When they turn on the phone,  they suddenly gain supernatural powers. Supernatural weird powers, I should say. And with these supernatural powers, they have to battle the devil. I know! It’s cheesy, weird, and yet wonderful because they are helping their fellow students overcome insecurities, bullying, and depression while still staying on the lighter side. Worth checking out for the camp!
