As the premiere of JTBC’s new upcoming drama “Queen of Divorce” approaches on the 31st, a behind-the-scenes still of Kang Ki Young, who plays the character Dong Ki-joon, nicknamed ‘Shepherd’ for his relentless pursuit of those with the scent of wrongdoing, has been unveiled.
What Character is Kang Ki Young Playing?
In the drama, Kang Ki Young portrays a consultant lawyer for the divorce resolution firm, serving as a business partner to Kim Sara (played by E Ji Ah). With his smart appearance, cheerful demeanor, and confident attitude, he’s a character who achieved the highest prosecution rate among his colleagues at the Southwest Prosecutor’s Office during his tenure as a prosecutor. However, Ki Joon sheds his prosecutor’s robe after a series of events and joins Kim Sara after being scouted, showcasing an incredible partnership.
Kang Ki Young, who previously portrayed antagonistic roles in “The Uncanny Counter 2,” breaks away from his previous image and takes on a completely different character, bringing freshness to the screen. In “Queen of Divorce,” he embarks on a new challenge by playing the male lead in the romance genre for the first time.
