Here are the highlights of episodes 16 & 17 of “Live Your Own Life”!
“Live Your Own Life” Episode 16 & 17 Recap:
- Poor Hyo Sim, whose mother is super eccentric and only seems to care for her sons, gets hurt again by her mother’s reckless decision to take money out of Hyo Sim’s secret savings account to clean up her brothers’ messes. Hyo Sim now has no choice but to borrow money, yet again, from dangerous loan sharks. To ease her mind, she goes out drinking by herself and calls Tae Ho to say she is sorry in advance because she won’t be able to train him in the morning. Tae Ho gets worried and picks her up. She was too drunk to tell Tae Ho her home address, so he had no choice but to take Hyo Sim to his or Tae Min’s place. Tae Min takes Hyo Sim to his place, but Tae Ho finds it odd that Tae Min is overly angry about seeing those two together.
- Hyo Sim strongly volunteered to be the model of the new show Tae Ho is hosting. Tae Ho sees Hyo Sim all dressed up for the first time because he has only ever seen her in the gym in her workout clothes. Tae Ho starts to see her as more attractive.
- Hyo Sim’s mom finally gives up on looking for her long-lost husband and treats him as someone dead. All the family members were summoned after a very long time, but it gradually turned into chaos because all the brothers still had pent-up feelings they kept swept under the rug for a long time.
- Tae Ho is not hesitant to express himself to Hyo Sim. First, they both have animosity toward each other, but now, Tae Ho asks Hyo Sim if it is okay for him to call her for a casual chat. Hyo Sim seems to love the idea.
- Tae Min tells his mother that he has someone he wants to pursue. Sook Hyang is furious at the fact that her son is not willing to marry the person she chose for him.
- Jin Beom is in great sorrow after losing his mother, Myung Hee. When he cries to his wife, Sook Hyang, he also tells her he misses his late younger brother. Sook Hyang’s eyes get big when she hears this as if she is hiding something about the death of her husband’s younger brother, also Tae Ho’s father.
- Tae Ho, again, finds Hyo Sim drinking by herself at a bar. Her head was facing down, and Tae Ho made fun of her for being too drunk, but when she faced him, he saw her crying endlessly and told Tae Ho about the $100,000 that was taken out of her savings account.

Tae Ho officially asks Hyo Sim out to be his girlfriend.
Sook Hyang wants her son Tae Min to get married to this rich family even though she knows Tae Min has a woman that he likes. So, she starts searching.
