“Live Your Own Life” Episode 30 & 31 Recap:

Tae Ho barges into Hyo Sim’s place drunk. He wails over his dead grandmother Myung Hee. Hyo Sim is heartbroken.

Hyo Do and Tae Hee are officially married. Hyo Do is very skeptical about this whole bizarre situation and constantly asks Tae Hee if she is 100% on board with her decision. Tae Hee wants to get out of this household that is forcing her to marry a rich conglomerate and is more than happy to proceed with this marriage.
Sun Soon’s first daughter-in-law is so bothered that Hyo Sim left the house. This means Sun Soon will now bug her to come to her house, do her chores, and keep her company. Hee Ju begs Hyo Sim to return to her original place until Ru Bee (Hee Ju’s daughter) goes to college. However, Hyo Sim strongly refuses and says she has done enough and wants to now live her own life.

Tae Ho finds strange transactions between the higher-ups in the Taesan Group. So, during the C-level meeting, Tae Ho audaciously brings this up and points specifically at some people. Sook Hyang hears about this and rushes to cut off Tae Ho from the group before he makes a bigger move.

Tae Ho asks his fellow project partner, Hyo Jun, to help him change Taesan Group back to the way it was when Myung Hee was alive and in charge. However, Hyo Jun, who is a father of two, cannot take big risks like this and be caught in situations where so much is at stake, so he refuses.

Sun Soon puts on a show and takes a picture of herself pretending to be sick so she can send it to Hyo Sim. Hyo Sim has doubts about her mother’s picture, but she rushes to go check on her. When Hyo Sim was almost home, she spots her mother singing on the street with bread in her hand.

Sun Soon pays a surprise visit to Hyo Sim’s place, while Hyo Sim and Tae Ho are having dinner together. Sun Soon is shocked to see a man in her daughter’s place and makes him leave immediately. Sun Soon tells this to Hyo Sim’s oldest brother, Hyo Jun, and he is furious and talks to Tae Ho immediately. Hyo Jun threatens Tae Ho to back off of Hyo Sim and says that he is sick of rich kids fooling around with poor, pretty, young women like his sister. But, Tae Ho genuinely tells Hyo Jun that he is not fooling around with Hyo Sim and asks Hyo Jun to change the corrupt Taesan Group.

Tae Ho further investigates the strange transactions in the company and finds out there was illegal embezzlement going on for a while.
Tae Hee goes to her home with Tae Hee and threatens Sook Hyang to place Hyo Do as one of the C-levels in the Taesan Group. Sook Hyang cannot strongly reject it because she knows Tae Ho has a picture of Myung Hee, who is not dead.

Tae Ho wants approval for their relationship from Hyo Sim’s mother, Sun Soon. So, he pays a visit to Hyo Sim’s villa. Sun Soon gives Tae Ho a hard time with very difficult questions. Tae Ho doesn’t waver and answers Sun Soon with every question. Hyo Sim makes Tae Ho leave, and when they are leaving, Myung Hee spots Tae Ho and Hyo Sim in front of the villa talking and just can’t believe her eyes to see her grandson Tae Ho.
