“Live Your Own Life” Episode 38 & 39 Recap:

Tae Min has finally encountered Myung Hee. The shock was mutual between them. Myung Hee reveals that Sook Hyang is setting a trap for Tae Min and Tae Ho, for her own good. Despite being his biological mother, Myung Hee urges Tae Min not to place complete trust in Sook Hyang. However, Tae Min finds himself unable to do anything but trust his own mother. Meanwhile, Tae Ho is also after Tae Min, convinced that Tae Min’s parents are somehow connected to the deaths of Tae Ho’s parents.

Tae Ho continues to divulge what’s happening within the Taesan Group, hinting to the interrogator that they should keep an eye on his name tonight. He reveals that significant funds are going to be transferred to another paper company under Sook Hyang’s direction. This presents an opportune moment to apprehend the mastermind behind the scheme.

Tae Ho was bailed out after being falsely accused and locked up for embezzlement. Upon his release, he publicly announced his intention to sue Sook Hyang and Jin Bum for embezzlement and for their involvement in the car accident. When Tae Ho returned to the office, Tae Min confronted him, questioning if he was declaring war. Tae Ho insisted that Tae Min handle the situation in his own way because he was the one who started this war.

Hyo Sung, who was fired because of being in the same project team as Tae Ho, started a new job as a delivery guy. Tae Ho apologizes to Hyo Sung and promises to keep quiet about the situation with Hyo Sim. He then visits Hyo Sim, who is ecstatic to finally see Tae Ho out of jail. Adding to the joy, Hyo Sim informs Tae Ho that Sun Soon has requested him to revisit to introduce him again. Tae Ho can barely contain his excitement at the thought of gaining Sun Soon’s approval for their marriage.

Tae Min warns his mother, Sook Hyang, informing her that all her positions and titles within the Taesan Group have been stripped. Sook Hyang is flabbergasted. However, when Tae Min reveals that he is now aware of all her wrongdoings, including fabricating Myung Hee’s death, she remains silent.

Hyo Jun committed a grave mistake—Mi Rim is pregnant with his child! When Sun Soon finds out about this, she faints in disbelief. Coincidentally, Hyo Sim and Tae Ho arrive to officially announce their marriage, only to be greeted by the chaotic news about Hyo Jun. Sending the urgency, Hyo Sim hurriedly directs Tae Ho upstairs to where Myung Hee is staying. However, to their surprise, Myung Hee is nowhere to be found. She has left home to confront her firstborn son, Jin Bum, and demand answers as to why he killed his younger brother, who happens to be Tae Ho’s father.

Tae Min is shocked to uncover the truth: his father, Jin Bum, had attempted to kill his own younger brother. Desperate to protect his family, Tae Min pleads with Myung Hee for help, and Tae Ho is out to get them. However, Myung Hee drops a bombshell revelation—Tae Ho is not his cousin but Tae Min’s biological younger brother!
