“Nobody Knows” Begins Airing on March 2!

“Nobody Knows” will begin airing on March 2, after “Dr. Romantic 2” ends! The new mystery drama will feature Kim Seo-Hyung, Ryu Deok-Hwan, and Park Hoon.

 

What is the drama about?

A close friend of Detective Cha Young-Jin (Kim Seo-Hyung) was murdered by a serial murderer 19 years ago. The serial murder case begins again and Cha Young-Jin is motivated to find the murderer.

 

People who don’t know Cha Young-Jin well would see her as a cold and unemotional person, but the ones who do would see her as someone who has a heart for the victims and the weak. They know that she’s just someone who isn’t expressive and doesn’t make the move to get to know people.

When Young-Jin was 18, her dream wasn’t to become a detective, but to work on something related to plants. But one late summer afternoon that year, Young-Jin had merely missed three phone calls from her close friend Soo-Jung and the next day, Soo-Jung was found as a victim of a serial murderer.

When Young-Jin was walking alone in the police station after providing a statement as a witness, she received a call from the serial killer who was using Soo-Jung’s number. It was that call that made Young-Jin swore to become a detective.

Later, Young-Jin met a new friend while fighting bad guys all day. It was the boy who lived below her, Go Eun-Ho. The two became close friends soon after. But Eun-Ho fell from a hotel suddenly one day. It was only then that she looked back and realized that Eun-Ho hadn’t been saying much about himself lately and was only listening to her speak.

As Young-Jin searches for Eun-Ho’s traces to find out more about what happened, she uncovers clues that lead her to the serial murderer.

3 years ago, Lee Sun-Woo got injured trying to defend a victim and it left a deep emotional scar in him. Because of that, Sun-Woo became a teacher who refused to get himself too involved with students. If it was something that he couldn’t handle, he wouldn’t. He learned to keep a distance from the students the hard way.

And that’s why, when Eun-Ho seemed troubled, he didn’t ask what happened. He noticed that Eun-Ho was acting unusual around a delinquent named Joo Dong-Myeong, but didn’t probe further when Eun-Ho said he was fine.

The next day, he received a call and was told that Eun-Ho fell from a hotel. Blaming himself for not giving his student enough attention, he went looking for Eun-Ho’s uncontactable mother, and there, he met Young-Jin.

The young Baek Sang-Ho lived in a dark, moldy room that had no windows with his mother. His mother was abusive, so he left her without a proper plan. Right before he was about to starve to death, he was found by a pastor and was sent to an orphanage.

He eventually became an adult who is known as a hyena that feeds on leftovers and does not hesitate to attack young children.

He lost his father to a traffic accident when he was younger and had to live with his hysterical mother. Eun-Ho’s mother would bring home her drunk lover who gets violent, and instead of protecting her son, she’d cry at their feet.

The same night when Young-Jin moved in, his mother’s lover was intoxicated and he became physically abusive as usual. Young-Jin had saved Eun-Ho and his mother from the violence, but his mother didn’t change. Each time it happened again, Eun-Ho would leave the house.

Young-Jin asked Eun-Ho for a favor. She wanted him to water her potted plant because she was rarely at home. She also wanted him to read all the books in her house and tell her what they were about. Eun-Ho knew all too well that these requests weren’t really made for her, but for him. He wanted to grow up and become a strong adult who protects the weak like Young-Jin.

Lately, however, Eun-Ho had a secret that troubled him. He wanted to tell Young-Jin about it, but she wasn’t in the mood to listen. In the end, he fell from the hotel.

Nobody knows the real reason until he wakes up.
