Hi, KOCONUTS! Hopefully, we have some animal lovers in the house because we have a quirky show coming up for you! Prepare yourself for something a little bit different in “Dog Knows Everything”.

And we mean that literally because the dog in this show can speak (it seems only to one human in particular) and appears to know a lot more than everyone else around.

“Dog Knows Everything” is about a legendary actor who is down on his luck and seeking a fresh start, so he relocates to Geoge Island off the coast of Korea. There he finds Sophie, a retired police dog who starts to talk to him — literally, talk to him — Lassie style or maybe Snoopy style; you will have to watch the trailer to see for yourself, but all signs point to fun with that type of life twist!

This former famous actor and this talking dog team up and start to solve mysteries around the island, which leads them to all sorts of hijinks.

Lee Soon Jae (played by Lee Soon Jae) is the legendary actor turned island detective. He is a bit grumpy due to the downward turn his life has taken, but he is also kind and, after meeting Sophie, goes on a journey of self-discovery with his furry little friend.

Sophie is the little furry friend I am sure we will all come to love (voiced by actor Bae Jung Nam). Sophie is a smart little dog and a retired police officer (of the canine variety), making her extra observant. She starts to chat with Lee Soon Jae, bringing a bit of sassiness to his life, and soon, they become the best partners along with other senior friends around the island.

Speaking of Islanders, the island is filled with its own fun, lovable, and quirky cast of characters: a resident jokester (Kim Yong Gun), a woman with a mysterious past and secrets galore (Ye Soo Jung), a retired lighting director with ample common sense (Im Chae Moo), and a former makeup artist (Song Ok Sook) who keeps the group grounded — and bronzer ready, I’m sure.

If you enjoy quirky murder mysteries with heart, like “Only Murders in the Building”, “Murder She Wrote”, or “Columbo”, then you might want to give this show a try! Sound like the off-the-wall show you have been waiting for? Check it out on KOCOWA+ on September 25th.
