The 59th “Baeksang Arts Awards” is streaming live on TikTok on the night of April 28. Many familiar faces made it to the nominee list and I couldn’t be happier when I saw Kim Jong Kook, our beloved spartakook. On top of that, he won the 59th “Baeksang Arts Awards” entertainer award.
On stage Kim Jong Kook said, “Thank you to the viewers who laughed at the entertainment show,” adding, “I learned a lot more from doing the entertainment show.” “Being part of the variety shows makes me to be a optimistic and a better person”. He then vowed, “I will continue to live a better, healthier life”.
Kim Jong Kook made his debut as a member of the group Turbo in 1995. He is currently actively appearing as a permanent member on SBS’s “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy”. He was also in “Dopojarak: Story of Homme the K-Wanderer”, a story of various male celebs aka, the K-Wanderer, as they vacation around the world to introduce traditional Korean products to the local residents.
