It is so good to see Tae Ju and Sang Min finally admitting their love towards each other!
Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 11 and 12 of “Three Bold Siblings”.
“Three Bold Siblings” Episodes 11 & 12 Recap:
- Tae Ju genuinely expresses to her mother her feelings towards Sang Jun and that she wants to get back with him. Jung Sook does not like the idea due to her animosity with Sang Jun’s mother. But, Jung Sook really saw Tae Ju’s genuine feelings and just accepted the situation. She meets with Sang Jun’s mother, Se Ran, to talk about the relationship, but all of a sudden, Se Ran happily talks about how Sang Jun will end things with Tae Ju. Jung Sook is dumbfounded. Se Ran continues with how Sang Jun will now just focus on his acting career and that he will not marry Tae Ju. Jung Sook refutes and asks how his love can be over in just one night. Se Ran didn’t expect Jung Sook to react this way since they both formed an ally to tear Tae Ju and Sang Jun apart. Se Ran offers a ride home, and in the car, Jung Sook brings up how impressive it was to see Sang Jun truly confess his love to Tae Ju. However, Se Ran was so sure that it was just a temporary feeling and that this would really help his acting skills moving forward. Jung Sook, knowing that her daughter really has feelings for Sang Jun, couldn’t be more heartbroken and keeps on questioning if Sang Jun’s feelings will ever come back. Se Ran was adamant about her son not changing his decision once he sets his head straight. Jung Sook started tearing up, thinking about how heartbroken Tae Ju will be after hearing this news. Se Ran immediately stops the car and asks why, but Jung Sook’s ego doesn’t let Se Ran know the truth, so she just tells her she was reminded of a sad movie she watched the other night. Jung Sook rushes to get out of the car, leaving Se Ran all emotional.
- Sang Jun visits his cousin’s photo studio to reminisce about the old days when he was a rookie actor. Young Sik acknowledges the fact that Sang Jun has worked so hard to be where he is now. After their small talk, Young Sik asks Sang Jun if he can borrow some money without any questions asked. Sang Jun was curious why but accepted the favor.
- Sang Min brings her boyfriend, prosecutor Bae, home, and with Sang Jun, they have a casual late-night snack together. Prosecutor Bae analyzes Sang Jun’s role in the upcoming drama, and Sang Jun compliments him by telling him he would have been a good actor if he had chosen a different career path. Young Sik, who lives upstairs in Se Ran’s building, brings a snack to Se Ran and tells her to take it to Sang Min and her boyfriend, introducing herself to them. Prosecutor Bae and Sang Jun continue to talk, but it seems like this boyfriend of Sang Min’s knows about Sang Jun way too much. He even knows that Sang Jun took over someone’s role, which greatly impacted the initial actor who was supposed to play the role. (We can infer that this prosecutor, Bae, is not actually a prosecutor but an unknown actor)
- Jung Sook advised Tae Ju not to call Sang Jun first since he will be concentrating on his career as of now. Tae Ju didn’t seem to mind since she was so sure where his head was at. Tae Ju calls Sang Jung under her blankets, but Sang Min, who was in the middle of kissing her boyfriend, picks up the phone without saying a word and hangs up right away. Tae Ju calls again, and Sang Min being so annoyed, blocks Tae Ju’s number. (Of course, Sang Jun does not know about this fact.) Tae Ju waits for a return call, but her phone never rings. The next day, Tae Ju continues to call Sang Jun but the phone call is declined right away. She realized that she is blocked and comes to terms with the end of their relationship. At the same time, Tae Ju finally knows what she has wanted all this time, it was her first love, Sang Jun.
- Sang Jun goes to a script reading with his fellow actors on his upcoming drama. There, he had to play a supporting role and even a character he had never played before. This was all because Sang Jun had to get money upfront to help out Tae Ju’s situation. While Sang Jun was reading his part, he just couldn’t do it. It was so out of his character, and has never played a supporting role before.
- So Rim starts her Pilates lesson with her old enemy, Sang Min. So Rim calls Nam Soo to talk to him, and when Sang Min eavesdrops on their conversation, Sang Min mocks So Rim. They end up madly chasing each other, and in the process of it, So Rim knocks down a flowerpot in the hallway. So Rim’s student, a mysterious guy (we don’t know anything about this guy yet, besides the fact that he has a personal driver), generously offers to clean up the mess while finishing up chasing after Sang Min. So Rim thanks him and runs to find Sang Min. Afterwards, So Rim rushes to Nam Soo’s place, calling him to come out to talk. He refuses and threatens So Rim that he will change his phone number if she continues to annoy him. So Rim tenaciously asks Nam Soo to come down, and he reluctantly agrees. So Rim waits endlessly, but here comes a police car. Nam Soo called the police on her! She was reported as a stalker, which stunned So Rim. She tears up and goes home to lash everything out on Tae Ju. Tae Ju is caught off guard. So Rim yells about why she was dumped by Nam Soo, and this was all because Tae Ju humiliated him during their family meeting. (But we all know this is a lame excuse, Nam Soo didn’t break up with So Rim because of this. He met another rich girlfriend!) This woke up all the family, and they were worried about what was going on with So Rim. Tae Ju takes care of the situation and comforts So Rim, saying she will go talk to Nam Soo about it.
- Tae Ju goes to wait at a café nearby at Nam Soo’s place to apologize to him. There she sees Nam Soo with another girlfriend in a very fancy car. Tae Ju confronts Nam Soo and asks him if this was the reason why he broke up with So Rim. Nam Soo yells at Tae Ju and asks her to leave before he reports again to the police.
- Tae Ju overhears that Sang Jun is having a really hard time at the shooting sight. Tae Ju drinks with her younger brother and rushes to Sang Jun’s place, and waits outside for him. Sang Jun finally gets a voice message from Tae Ju and rushes to see her. While Tae Ju was waiting, drunk, in front of Sang Jun’s house, she sees Se Ran who tells her to leave, and when Tae Ju was about to, she gags on Se Ran’s shoulder.
- Se Ran helps Tae Ju to the bathroom and even makes hot tea to calm Tae Ju’s upset stomach. Se Ran calls Tae Ju’s mother to tell her that Tae Ju was drunk and happened to be in front of her house. However, Jung Sook was way too busy having a blast with her husband at Yun Ho’s house. Sang Jun comes home to see Tae Ju lying next to Se Ran and asks what had happened. Tae Ju finally wakes up and is so embarrassed about the situation. Tae Ju repeatedly apologizes, but Se Ran gives her the cold shoulder. Sang Jun takes her outside, but Tae Ju refuses to leave. When Jung Sook found out that her daughter was drunk at Se Ran’s place, she packed her belongings right away to go see her. When Sang Jun dropped Tae Ju off, Tae Ju finally confessed her feelings! But Jung Sook intervenes and stops this romantic rendezvous. Now that Sang Jun knows Tae Ju’s feelings toward him, he is so relieved and doesn’t stop to express his feelings too. Even when Jung Sook asked him to confirm if he said he will end things with Tae Ju, Sang Jun says yes, but this doesn’t stop him from loving Tae Ju. Tae Ju and Sang Jun share a few romantic words with each other.
- The next morning, Tae Ju shares the good news with everyone in the family, that she is going out with Sang Jun. However, Jung Sook doesn’t take this well and says she is rooting for Yun Ho, who she believes Tae Ju is better off with. So Rim also is furious and is against this relationship and tells everyone that she broke up with Nam Soo because of Tae Ju. Then she adds, Tae Ju cannot date nor marry anyone until she finds someone for herself.
- Sang Jun’s grandmother Gab Boon coincidently got her knee checked up by Tae Ju’s youngest brother, Gun Woo. There Gab Boon was so touched by Gun Woo’s generous examination that she thought he would be a perfect match for her daughter Hyun Jung. Gab Soon asks several questions regarding marriage and goes home, confirming that Gun Woo is single.
- Young Sik is skeptical about Sang Min’s current boyfriend, who is known as ”Prosecutor Bae.” Young Sik remembers this rookie actor who visited his photo studio a few years ago to take an ID picture, and that person happened to look exactly like the prosecutor Bae. Young Sik visits the prosecutor office to confirm that prosecutor Bae is a disguise. Young Sik’s wife Eun Joo, who happened to clean up the mess Young Sik had left in his studio, found pieces of letters with the words “my son.” She looks for other pieces to put together the whole letter and sees written “need some money.”
- Tae Ju visits Sang Jun’s agency to talk to the manager about Sang Jun’s recent work. She was well aware that Sang Jun was suffering from playing a character that did not suit him and was struggling during filming. She feels terrible about it and tries to talk to the manager to see if there is anything that they can do to take Sang Jun out of it. But the only way is to pay off 3 times the initial contract money. Tae Ju was hopeless, and while walking home, she encounters an emergency scene with this man lying on the ground, unconscious. She does her best to save this man. She gets a round of applause from the people, and from this, she gets a job at Gun Woo’s hospital.
- Yu Ri, who is Gun Woo’s ex-girlfriend, shows So Rim this ridiculous video of Tae Ju talking to Nam Soo. So Rim was furious about how scumbag Nam Soo was to her sister Tae Ju. So Rim tells Yu Ri that she doesn’t want her or the footage of Nam Soo ever again. She leaves, and coincidently, So Rim’s pilates student spots her walking in tears. Then as soon as So Rim gets home, she hugs Tae Ju and apologizes to her for everything she has done.
- Tae Ju and Sang Jun do not hesitate to express their love towards each other now. Tae Ju was also very busy with so many patients coming in after she became a heroic figure saving a stranger’s life on the street. Another coincidence is that prosecutor Bae visits Tae Ju’s hospital office to get an examination. But here, he introduces himself as an actor.
- Sang Min arranged a date to officially introduce her boyfriend to everyone in the family. Sang Jun invited Tae Ju to, since she is now his current girlfriend. Prosecutor Bae introduces his parents, who flew to Korea to be at this family meeting (which I know for a fact are not his actual parents). Tae Ju meets Sang Jun at the parking lot and enters the restaurant building together to meet Sang Min and his soon-to-be husband, prosecutor Bae.
