Early Days

If you’re a 2nd gen. K-Pop fan, then you know 2PM was everywhere back in the day. They released their first single “10 Out of 10” in 2008 under JYP. The group stood out because most boy groups were doing the “flower boy” (aka pretty boy) concept while they had more of a macho image. With their tanned muscles and acrobatic dance moves, 2PM would go on to create the “beastly idol” concept.

Over the Years

Over time, the members explored different avenues of the Korean entertainment industry. Jun Su (now known as Jun. K) and Woo Young focused on their careers as solo artists— although you’ll recognize Woo Young from “Dream High” and the variety show “We Got Married”. Nichkhun, Chan Sung, Taecyeon, and Jun Ho leaned toward acting, with the latter three being well-known for various K-dramas.

Chan Sung has starred in dramas like “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, “My Holo Love”, “So I Married an Anti-Fan”, and recently “Bo Ra! Deborah”. Taecyeon and Jun Ho are extremely popular as actors and often grab leading roles. Taecyeon also starred in “Dream High”, but is recognized for the dramas “Bring It On, Ghost”, “Save Me”, “Vincenzo”, and “Heartbeat”, which is still airing. Jun Ho’s popularity is soaring because of his new drama “King the Land” alongside SNSD’s Yoona. It’s been one of the most talked-about dramas this year. Before that, he starred in highly-rated dramas like “Good Manager”, “Just Between Lovers”, “Wok of Love”, and “The Red Sleeve”.

New Concert

So, needless to say, the time has flown and the members of 2PM have been very busy. The good news is the boys will be reuniting for a concert! It was first announced back in February, and on July 24th JYP finally released the details. The 15th-year anniversary concert will take place in Seoul on September 9th and 10th at the Jamsil indoor stadium. Hopefully, international fans will be able to stream the concert, so we can participate in the nostalgia and support the boys.

If you want to see more of 2PM before the concert, check out the dramas linked above and below on KOCOWA+. You can also check out some of their variety show appearances.
