It’s time for everyone’s favorite monthly poll: Battle of the Dramas! March was the battle of the Lees (Lee Seung Gi vs Lee Je Hoon). A total of 1,234 people voted making it our most popular battle yet. “Vagabond” defeated “Taxi Driver” with a whopping 69.43% of the votes and “Mouse” did the same thing to “Move to Heaven” with 74.53% of the votes. It looks like Lee Seung Gi AKA Korea’s “Son-in-Law” can’t be beat.
For April, we’re doing two more actors with the same last name: Ahn Jae Hyeon vs Ahn Hyo Seop.
Ahn Jae Hyeon is known for being Koo Hye Sun’s ex-husband. Koo Hye Sun is an actress who is famous for playing Geum Jan Di in the international hit “Boys Over Flowers”. He’s also known for starring in “My Love From the Star”, “Blood”, and “Love with Flaws”.
Ahn Hyo Seop is said to be a Nam Joo Hyuk look-alike (I can see it). He gained popularity with the dramas “Still 17”, “Dr. Romantic 2”, and “Lovers of the Red Sky”. In 2022, he starred in Netflix’s “Business Proposal” and became an international star.
So, this month will be the Battle of the Ahns. Vote for your favorite drama below. The poll will close Monday, April 17th at 12AM Eastern Standard Time (EST). I’m going to make it really tough by only allowing you to choose between one drama for each actor.
Love With Flaws vs Business Proposal
My vote will have to go to Ahn Hyo Seop. “Business Proposal” was a fun diversion that left a lot of people smiling after going through the pandemic. In fact, it was so whacky, people are still quoting it. It’s spawned several memes that most people in the K-drama world know about.
