I don’t want to spoil you guys already, but the last two episodes were big for our lovely Yoon Jae and Hae Joon couple. Their relationship is accelerating and elevating to the next level! Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 27 and 28 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 27 & 28 Recap:
- Everyone is Worried about Soo Jae
After the whole chaotic incident with Soo Jae had passed,, the family thought that everything would be fine. However, Soo Jae came home wailing, which got them worried again. Soo Jae tells them it is because Yu Na broke up with him. This break-up has really got him
- Jin Hun Meets Yu Na
Jin Hun (Jung Hoo’s father and the CEO of Bong Food) visits Bong Food restaurant, where he encounters Yu Na. Yu Na kindly tells him that the restaurant is not opened yet and that he would have to wait. Yu Na hands him a bottle of water while he waits. Little does she know that he is the CEO of the Bong Food Group, and she rushes into the restaurant to open the shop. Jin Hun advises Jung Hoo to stop supervising at the head office Bong Food restaurant anymore and start taking the new opening locations. Jung Hoo resists and tells him that he needs to stay at the head office to learn something (we can all infer that this might be because of Yu Na.. lol). When Jin Hun talks about the small incident in the morning with Yu Na, he continues to compliment her. Jung Hoo couldn’t agree more.
- Soo Jung Talks about her Past
Soo Jung visits her mother in the nursing home, where they talk about how it was difficult to remove something on Soo Jung’s arm when she was in elementary school. (we can infer that maybe it was a scar?..) Soo Jung emphasizes that she does not want to find her biological parents and that she resents them so much for abandoning her. Afterwards, Soo Jung visits the Yoga class her mother-in-law is in. Soo Jung encounters Kyung Chul, and they share small talk. Soo Jung was surprised that he had such good facial recognition, and Kyung Chul tells her: that is probably because he has a daughter that is a similar age as Soo Jung. Kyung Chul exits the building saying how hard it is to give up thinking about his daughter, Jung Won. When Soo Jung came home, she talked with her mother-in-law about what she was talking about with Kyung Chul before. However, her mother-in-law corrects Soo Jung, telling her that Kyung Chul does not have a daughter and he only has one son. Soo Jung finds this odd. Later on, Jung Ja finds out that Kyung Chul has a lost daughter that he still is looking for until now.
- Hae Joon gets a Surprise Visit
One of her past clients who lost a case comes raging at Hae Joon, threatening her with a hammer. Hae Joon was supposed to visit Yoon Jae’s dentist, but she didn’t show up. Yoon Jae is told that Hae Joon is in the ER. He loses his mind and rushes to the hospital. When he was going nuts trying to find her at the ER, Hae Joon nonchalantly calls him by his name. He was super relieved that she was okay, but at the same time, he couldn’t calm himself and stormed out. Yoon Jae realizes how much he likes her and cares for her. He then talks about marriage with Hae Joon, but she doesn’t seem to be excited. Hae Joon strongly tells him to propose to her instead of just blurting it out.
- Hyun Jae Wants to Introduce Min Ho to Mi Rae
Now that Mi Rae and Hyun Jae are going out for a while, Min Ho asks to meet Mi Rae. While Hyun Jae was telling Min Ho about Mi Rae before they actually met, Min Ho is a little taken aback when he hears that Mi Rae was once married. (In Korea, this is considered a flaw. Nowadays, it is not as bad as before, but to the elders, this is still considered a serious flaw)
- Yoon Jae Visits Hae Joon’s Office
Yoon Jae visits Hae Joon’s office with flowers. He takes her out to the place where they always go, the park. Hae Joon seems to be disappointed at first because she was imagining the whole fancy restaurant with a diamond ring, but he starts telling her about his genuine feelings and the reason he brought her to the park. He wanted to propose to her at a fancy place, but he felt like that was not like him. He then asks her to be part of this long life journey with him, and Hae Joon seems to be touched.
- Hyun Jae and Mi Rae are Mistaken
Mi Rae’s grandmother is hospitalized because she fell from the bed and got herself fractured. When Mi Rae was visiting her grandmother, she went shopping for indoor slippers with Hyun Jae, where the assistant mistakes them as siblings.
- Yoon Jae Drops a Big News
Yoon Jae tells his parents and his grandfather that he will introduce his girlfriend to them this weekend. Kyung Chul has already met her, and Min Ho knows who she is too. The only person who does not know about Yoon Jae’s girlfriend is Kyung Ae. (I don’t know if you guys recall, but when Hae Joon was on television, Kyung Ae was the one who said Hae Joon is not the type of person to get married to). When Kyung Ae sees her, she is super shocked to see Hae Joon. She is the boss of Hyun Jae!
- Jung Ja Finds Out the Truth?
Jung Ja was always super proud of Soo Jung being the family member of an elite. However, she does not know the fact that Soo Jung is an adoptee. When Jin Ju, Soo Jung’s friend and Jin Hun’s sister, visited Korea, they all went to say hello to Soo Jung’s mother, who is hospitalized. When they are finished greeting each other, due to Alzheimer, Soo Jung’s mother talks about something from the past, saying that we need to raise Soo Jung and not report it to the police. Everyone is shocked by this statement.

Again, in the last two episodes, there was a lot of information to take in. The biggest one yet, I believe, is when Soo Jung’s mother blurted out something that insinuates that Soo Jung is not her biological daughter but an adopted child. Hae Joon believes Kyung Ae does not approve of her.
When Yu Na visits her friend that just opened a bakery shop, she asks why Yu Na didn’t come with Soo Jae.
Kyung Ae is worried about the girlfriends of her sons’ after meeting Hae Joon. Kyung Ae asks Min Ho who Hyun Jae’s girlfriend is, and he tells her that she was a client of his.
Jin Ju finds it odd that Soo Jung’s mom is saying something that is so new to everyone, so she decides to record her while they have a conversation to keep a record. Jin Ju then confesses to Soo Jung and asks if she is adopted.
Okay, so everyone is about to find out that Soo Jung was adopted and that Hyun Jae’s boss is Yoon Jae’s girlfriend. I wonder what Kyung Ae thinks of all this and am curious what will happen to Soo Jung after the rest of the family finds out that she is adopted? I mean but is this that of a big deal?… What do you guys think?
