Episode 37 & 38 Recap: Stream K-Drama “It’s Beautiful Now” with English Subtitles

“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 37 & 38 Recap:

• Soo Jung is in Disbelief

After finally encountering her biological father, Soo Just is in huge disbelief. She could not believe her biological father was Kyung Chul all along. He is also the grandfather of her soon-to-be son-in-law. Kyung Chul is also in disbelief as well. He was ashamed not to be able to recognize his own daughter prior to finding out the secret like this. When Soo Jung came home, without having any conversation with Kyung Chul, she was in deep shock and didn’t know what to say to her daughter, Mi Rae. Soo Jun discreetly has a conversation with Mi Rae, telling her to rethink the whole marriage. But Soo Jung takes it back right away.

• Jung Hoo Visit Yu Na’s Macaron Shop

Jung Hoo became a regular at the Macaron shop. Even though he says he really enjoys the macaron, I think he definitely has an alternate motive for visiting here. Anyway, Jung Hoo tells Yu Na that he is soon going to become a family with Soo Jae since Mi Rae is marrying Soo Jae’s older brother. Yu Na is a little shocked. Yu Na’s boss suggests having dinner all together, and Jun Hoo excitedly agrees. He reserves a restaurant, and everyone is a bit flustered because it seems like a very high-end, expensive place. Yu Na’s boss said she would treat them, but when she saw the menu, the price was way beyond her budget. However, Jung Hoo breaks the uncomfortable situation by telling them that the dinner is on him. Yu Na and the boss are very relieved and choose an expensive course from the menu.

• Min Ho Meets Soo Jung

Min Ho asks Hyun Jae for Soo Jung’s number so he can personally contact her and meet her. Min Ho meets Soo Jung at a café and tries to have a deep conversation. Min Ho tries to clear up a misunderstanding of what Soo Jung thought had happened to her when she was a baby. Soo Jung believed that her parents left her at an orphanage and had abandoned her all this time, but Min Ho corrected her by telling her that wasn’t true. That her parents left her at the orphanage only temporarily. She doesn’t want to hear it anymore and storms out, but Min Ho stops her and tells her that things are now very complicated since Hyun Jae and Mi Rae are involved and all intertwined.

• Hae Joon Goes through a Procedure

Hae Joon and Yoon Jae try to get pregnant, but because of their age, things are more difficult than they thought. The doctor tells them they need to undergo a subfertility procedure in order to get pregnant with a healthy baby. Hae Joon is very let down, but Yoon Jae tries to console her.

• Min Ho Seeks Help

Min Ho personally calls Hae Joon to ask for advice. Min Ho tells Hae Joon the big secret. Min Ho tells her that Kyung Chul’s biological daughter is Mi Rae’s mother and that it is legally okay to continue proceeding with Hyun Jae and Mi Rae’s wedding.

• Kyung Chul Meets Soo Jung

They finally sit down one on one and have a conversation. Soo Jung questions Kyung Chul why he had to abandon her, but he tells her that he never did. He lost his wife to cancer when she was around two years old, and he caught an illness that was contagious. He had to separate young Soo Jung from him but he had no one to leave her with, so he had no choice but to leave her for a few days at an orphanage until he was healthy. Meanwhile, Soo Jung was adopted to a new family.

• Hyun Jae and Mi Rae Get Ready

They are both clueless about what’s going on with their family and continue planning their wedding. Hyun Jae is mesmerized by Mi Rae’s beauty in a wedding dress and cannot take his eyes off of her.

• Soo Jung Sobs in Tears

After meeting Kyung Chul, Soo Jung comes home and sobs in tears. Jung Ja and her husband are seriously concerned about her. Jung Ja tells her not to see her biological parents again if that hurts her this much. But Soo Jung tells them she cannot avoid her parents because the biological father is Hyun Jae’s grandfather.

• All Family Members Are Worried

Hyun Jae’s family and Mi Rae’s family are in a dilemma. Jung Ja carefully tells Mi Rae to hold the wedding for a bit, and Min Ho is also planning on telling Hyun Jae the same thing. Mi Rae and Hyun Jae are both startled about what’s going on. Min Ho asks Hyun Jae for a favor and that he will talk to Mi Rae’s mom about postponing the wedding too.

• Min Ho Talks to Hae Joon

Min Ho asks for legal advice from Hae Joon and what will happen with Mi Rae and Hyun Jae get married. Hae Joon tells Min Ho that if Kyung Chul and Soo Jung become a legal family, Mi Rae and Hyun Jae cannot get legally married. Min Ho and Jin Hun meet and talk about postponing the marriage. Mi Rae also tells Hyun Jae about what her grandmother has told her. But Hyun Jae was shocked to tell her the same thing. Hyun Jae tenaciously asks his parents for their reason behind postponing the wedding, and Kyung Ae finally tells Hyun Jae about the family revelation. Yoon Jae finds out about it, too, later on from Hae Joon.

• Kyung Chul Visits Soo Jung’s Place

Kyung Chul takes a surprise visit to Soo Jung’s place. Soo Jung is shocked to see him like that. To make things worse, Mi Rae sees them two talking. Mi Rae asks Soo Jung why he came to their place. Soo Jung had no choice but to reveal the truth to Mi Rae. They both cry. Soo Jung feels guilty about getting in the way of Mi Rae and Hyun Jae’s marriage. Now that everyone knows what’s going on, Mi Rae and Hyun Jae have a conversation. They are both in disbelief…Hyun Jae suggests supporting and helping each other through these hard times, but Mi Rae suggests otherwise. She takes her mother’s side and says she doesn’t want her mother to sacrifice something she was searching for all her life just because of Mi Rae’s love life…

“It’s Beautiful Now” Episode 39 Trailer Breakdown:

Min Ho expresses his guilt to Kyung Chul about the fact that Hyun Jae is apparently broken down.

Kyung Chul gets angry with Min Ho and says, “Do you only care about your son? How about me?”

Kyung Chul’s younger sister meets with Soo Jung to clear things up about Kyung Chul never abandoning her.

Mi Rae and Hyun Jae are taking a break.

Mi Rae comforts Soo Jung and says everything is fine and that she is okay calling this relationship off because she is still young and has enough time to seek a new love.

However, Hyun Jae seems to not cope with the situation well.
