The last few episodes have me in tears to see Hyun Jae and Mi Rae so heartbroken. I am sure there must be something that they can do to resume the wedding…!
Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 39 and 40 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
- Mi Rae Breaks Up with Hyun Jae
Mi Rae thoroughly explains why they must break up, she tries to put herself into Soo Jung’s shoes and realizes that there is nothing more devastating than finally finding the biological father and is not able to be his daughter legally. Mi Rae wants to support her mother in every way possible. Hyun Jae understands her, but at the same time, very firmly tells Mi Rae that breaking up is not a way to go and that he won’t take that for an answer. They decided to take a break.
- Kyung Chul and Soo Jung
Kyung Chul takes Soo Jung to where her biological mother is resting. Kyung Chul explains and tries to make amends with Soo Jung. Soo Jung still cannot get over the fact that she was left at the orphanage. They eat lunch together, and Kyung Chul cannot express more how happy he is with Soo Jung right now. Soo Jung comes home a little uncomfortable but tries to stay calm. Jung Hoo later finds out that Soo Jung found her birth father and is a little shocked.
- Soo Jae Gets a Reward
Soo Jae receives great news from his boss that, because of his cleaning, they’ve received a compliment and been extended a contract. Soo Jae also gets a little compensation due to his hard work.
- Hae Joon and the Kids
Yoon Jae’s niblings visit Hae Joon’s office for ‘visit your parents at work day’, where Hae Joon treats them with ice cream. But you know, with kids, they play around with things and end up dropping ice cream on Hae Joon’s pants. Hae Joon, however, doesn’t scold the kid and comforts him instead. Yoon Jae sees this and has a lump in his throat due to their situation of not being able to get naturally pregnant.
- Hyun Jae Goes Through Hard Times
Min Ho constantly checks up on Hyun Jae since he knows that Hyun Jae is going through rough times after Mi Rae and him are taking time off. Hyun Jae cannot hold back his tears and ends up crying while on the phone with Min Ho. Min Ho visits Hyun Jae’s place to have breakfast with him and he is shocked to see his place so messy. Min Ho has never seen Hyun Jae this way.
- Kyung Chul’s Sister Kyung Soon Visits’ Soo Jung’s Place
Kyung Soon (Soo Jung’s aunt) visits her friends Jung Ja and Soo Jung’s home. Kyung Soon tears up when she sees Soo Jung (Jung Eun) and grabs her by her hand and starts explaining things.
- Kyung Chul Tries his Best
Kyung Chul tries really hard to recover the long lost relationship between him and Soo Jung, and he remembers that when she was young, she really liked tangerine. So, he buys a box of tangerine and visits Soo Jung to give it to her and just leaves.
- Min Ho’s Talk with Kyung Chul
Min Ho tells Kyung Chul that he would like to give his place back to Soo Jung (Jung Eun). However, Min Ho is furious to hear this and that this is a different matter, Min Ho has nothing to do with it. Min Ho wants to make things right because he does not want to see Hyung Jae hurt anymore. Legally, if Min Ho gives up his place to be Kyun Chul’s son, then it is possible for Hyun Jae and Mi Rae to get married.
- Jung Ja Meets Kyung Chul
Jung Ja meets with Kyung Chul to talk about Mi Rae and Hyun Jae and tells him that she will play the villain and have Mi Rae stop this whole marriage. She asks Kyung Chul for a favor and persuades Hyun Jae to call off the marriage too. Jung Ja sits Mi Rae down and tells her that this marriage cannot happen. Soo Jung feels terribly bad for her daughter and they both sob… Kyung Chul also sits down Min Ho and Hyun Jae and tells Min Ho to take back what he said about not being Kyung Chul’s son anymore. Both Hyun Jae and Mi Rae have no choice but to accept this reality…
- Soo Jae Meet’s Someone
While Soo Jae was working, he catches a scene where this young guy was beaten on the ground. Soo Jae kindly helps the guy but realizes he is Soo Jae’s best friend who took his money and never returned.
- Jung Ja Has Doubts
All this time, Soo Jung believed her biological parents abandoned her, but once the truth was revealed and things were cleared up, Jung Ja was left wondering why Soo Jung’s adopted parents would not return Soo Jung to her biological parents once she was found? Jung Ja finds this strange and tells Soo Jung that when Jung Ja was talking to Soo Jung’s foster parents in the past, they said something like Soo Jung was stolen from the sky. Jung Ja now believes that Soo Jung was deliberately taken away from her biological parents and was never taken to the police station. Soo Jung tries to fit the puzzle and remember what her foster mother once told her with how she was found, and Soo Jung couldn’t be more shocked…
- Hyun Jae Visits Mi Rae
Hyun Jae couldn’t hold back anymore and rushed to Mi Rae’s office. Hyun Jae tells her she is easily giving up on this relationship and that there must be something that they can do to fix things. Hyun Jae proposes to Mi Rae to live with him.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episode 41 Trailer Breakdown:
We all know how getting married was difficult for both Hyun Jae and Mi Rae and they finally opened up to each other and came this far. But because of the complex situation that’s going on, someone has to give up something huge that’s part of their lives.. Would that be Min Ho giving up his position as a son under Kyung Chul? Or Hyun Jae giving up the love of his life?
Hyun Jae is firm on the decision where he wants to spend the rest of his life with Mi Rae.
Mi Rae holds a pregnant stick with a positive sign.
Hyun Jae is immensely happy that he can now get married to Mi Rae, but Mi Rae seems unsure.
Mi Rae is on the bed in excruciating pain, and Soo Jung is very worried.
