*SPOILER ALERT* I was happy to see Soo Jae and Jung Hoo become friends and leave any tension between them. Also, it was funny to see the little quarrel between our beloved Yoon Jae and Hyun Jae couple.
Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 43 and 44 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 43 & 44 Recap:
- Mi Rae and Hyun Jae’s Wedding
They have successfully finished their wedding under immense blessings. A big accident might have happened if Yoon Jae did not catch Hae Joon from falling. (Since she’s carrying a baby!!) Yoon Jae scolds Hae Joon and tells her to please be careful at all times and persuades her to go home and rest. However, Hae Joon already had plans with Soo Jae and Jung Hoo, so she refused to leave. Without giving in, Yoon Jae tells Soo Jae and Jung Hoo that they cannot join them for a drink and that they will be going home, leaving Soo Jae and Jung Hoo alone. (How awkward!) Mi Rae and Hyun Jae happily go on their honeymoon to a place Hae Joon prepared for them and spend quality time together.
- Awkward, Much?
Soo Jae and Jung Hoo go have a drink together. There they tried to get cordial and started to talk more casually. Jung Hoo talks about how they both have one thing in common – they both like the same person, Yu Na. Soo Jae mistakes Jung Hoo and Yu Na officially going out together but Jun Hoo corrects him and tells him that they are not together.
- Kyung Chul Goes and Meets Soo Jung (Jung Eun)
Jung Eun became more comfortable keeping in touch with Kyung Chul. She asks him out for lunch, and when Min Ho drops him off, she suggests he joins them for lunch. Min Ho tells Kyung Ae that he cannot come home to eat lunch with her. Kyung Ae is a bit sulky since she was preparing lunch for Min Ho, but now that he isn’t coming home, she eats lunch by herself. When Min Ho comes home and brags about how delicious the lunch was, Kyung Ae lashes out at him.
- Yu Na Visits Her Family
Yu Na visits her mom when she is stopped by red flyers at her mother’s restaurant. All the flyers had how her brother is a homewrecker all over the place. When Yu Nae asks her mother what happened, she finds out that her younger brother was going out with a married woman, which is considered a crime in Korea. Yu Na’s brother was sued and had to pay off a huge amount of money in order for it to get cleared up. When Yu Na persuades her mother to temporarily get away from the city and go to Seoul with her, they both go to Yu Na’s place. Little did they know, her younger brother was actually waiting for them in front of Yu Na’s place. Yu Na looks for a lawyer to defend her younger brother, but she faces complications that involve a lot of money. Knowing this, Yu Na’s macaron shop boss calls Soo Jae and asks for Hyun Jae’s help. Soo Jae visits Hyun Jae’s office to ask for a favor. Soo Jae genuinely asks Hyun Jae to help Yu Na. Soo Jae then visits Yu Na and asks her for a favor. Soo Jae wants to repay what he gained from Yu Na in the past and asks her he won’t take no for an answer. Yu Na, in desperate need of help, accepts Soo Jae’s favor. Because of Soo Jae and Hyun Jae’s help, Yu Na’s brother’s case was resolved well. Yu Na genuinely thanks him.
- An Awkward Dynamic
There is a little bit of an awkward situation happening since both Hyun Jae and Yoon Jae got married. It is because Hae Joon was once Mi Rae’s VIP client and Hyun Jae was a real close friend of Hae Joon, and now that the relationship is intertwined and everyone is family now, there is a small tension among these four. Yoon Jae and Hyun Jae seem to fight more often….Between Mi Rae and Hae Joon, it became like a competition where they both try so hard to be liked by Kyung Ae (mother-in-law), creating again another tension between the two.
- Hae Joon Consults with Hyun Jae
Hae Joon vents to Hyun Jae about Mi Rae. She and Mi Rae were really close prior to both of their marriages, but now that they’ve become a family, the dynamics between the two are a bit different. Hae Joon says that whatever Mi Rae says, she puts meaning behind it, making things a bit serious.
- Kyung Ae Invites Soo Jung
Kyung Ae invites Soo Jung and her husband to her house to treat them to dinner. Kyung Ae prepared Galbi for everyone, but when Soo Jung was finished eating, Soo Jung started to get rashes all over her body. Everyone was worried and asked what was in the food. Kyung Ae didn’t see any problem with the food she made and told them there was a little bit of walnut in the galbi which Soo Jung had an allergic reaction to. Min Ho scolds Kyung Ae for putting walnuts in the galbi which is not common when cooking. Kyung Ae feels a bit let down and irritated thinking that she was the cause of this whole situation. Kyung Ae finally expresses her anger towards Kyung Chul and Min Ho. She storms out and goes to another place to spend the night. She decides to go to Yoon Jae’s place where she found a baby’s shoe. She is very shocked and asks Yoon Jae what this is about. (They haven’t yet told anyone that Hae Joon is pregnant). Yoon Jae quickly snatches the shoe from Kyung Ae’s hand.
I think the last two episodes were relatively happy episodes. What did you guys think? Do you agree?

Kyung Ae now knows that Hae Joon is pregnant and does everything she can to help her.
Mi Rae was asked if she has any plans of having a baby or not.
Soo Jae tells Kyung Ae that Yu Na was hurt from protecting him, and he wants to take Kyung Ae’s food to share with Yu Na.
Kyung Ae meets Yu Na after a long period of time and Yu Na is shocked to see.
A doctor diagnoses someone (we don’t know who in the trailer) with cancer.
