  • Jin Seok is shaken after discovering that Seong Hee has deceived him for a full 26 years. Rather than confronting her head-on, he pretends to know nothing and begins digging deeper. That’s when he uncovers a troubling connection: his son’s girlfriend Su Bin is the younger sister of Ji Hyuk, the CEO of AP Group, and Eun Oh works there as a team leader. Everything suddenly clicks. He recalls how Seong Hee looked down on Su Bin and her family, never once mentioning her powerful brother. She had deliberately kept it hidden, afraid the truth would expose her lies. Meanwhile, Seong Hee gathers the family under the guise of celebrating Yeong Ra finally being free from her stalker, unaware that the ground beneath her is already cracking.
  • Overwhelmed by resentment, Ji Hyuk spirals, questioning why such a cruel fate has fallen on him. Eun Oh, on the other hand, is left confused and wounded. After he openly confessed his feelings, she can’t understand why he has suddenly gone silent and won’t return her calls.

  • There’s a rare bright moment when Yeong Ra officially begins a new chapter as a webtoon artist after signing her first contract. Ji Wan throws her a surprise party, and the two reminisce about their rocky first impressions of each other. Back then, they completely misunderstood one another, but over time, Ji Wan became Yeong Ra’s anchor to the real world, helping her believe in herself and chase her dream.
  • Ji Hyuk eventually returns, but he’s cold and distant toward Eun Oh. She quietly internalizes his behavior, wondering if she’s done something wrong without realizing the truth he’s hiding.
  • Jin Seok finally makes his move. He lays out all the documents he’s uncovered on the table. Seong Hee assumes they’re just company papers, but his warning is chillingly precise: she needs to leave the house before he gets home from work, or face something far worse. Panicked, Seong Hee believes Seong Jae has betrayed her. Scrambling for an escape, she packs her bags and rushes to her safe, only to find it completely empty. The gold bars and cash she’d secretly hoarded for years are gone. With no money and nowhere to go, she’s trapped.

As Yeong Ra arrives, Seong Hee desperately clings to her, trying to pull her away, but Yeong Ra can’t defy her father. Seong Hee ends up alone at a hotel, surprisingly calm, even enjoying the temporary freedom as she plots her next move.
  • Her illusion of control shatters when she tries to sell her properties, only to learn that Jin Seok has already mortgaged them to the maximum. She has lost everything. With nothing left, she goes to Jin Seok and asks for a divorce, convinced he’ll gladly agree. Instead, he coldly asks her why he should. Divorce, he makes clear, would be far too easy.

He tells her the timing is wrong, that after returning from his “business trip,” he’s realized the company must come first. Dating isn’t an option. Eun Oh is stunned by his sudden 180-degree shift in just three days. He apologizes and insists they keep things strictly professional.
